Awash Bank invites competent and qualified candidates for the following vacant job positions. Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994, after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995. 

Since embarking on the operation, the Bank has registered remarkable growth. Notwithstanding global and domestic challenges, Awash Bank has exhibited a superior functional and financial performance among private banks operating in Ethiopia. Position 1: Legal Officer 

Qualification & Experience. Degree in Law plus a minimum of three (3) years of work experience. 

Job Summary 
The job holder prepares a variety of legal documentation; Reviews legal documentation ready for the Bank or arising from the work of the Bank; Provides legal advice to indigenous managers and staff in all areas of the Bank’s activities and proffers solutions to legal problems, constraints, risks, options, consequences, and approaches.

Position 2: Electrician 

Qualification & Experience Diploma in Electricity or related fields, plus a minimum of three( 3) years as an electrician( installation,  conservation of electrical outfit). 

Job Summary 
 The job holder is responsible for maintaining, repairing, or replacing electrical equipment when it malfunctions or breaks down, such as switches, fuses, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. S/ he ensures that the electric installation is up to standard when a new structure is constructed in collaboration with engineers.

Position 3: Senior – System director 

Qualification & Experience BSc or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus a minimum of six (6) years of banking experience in IT and networking-related areas.

Professional Certificate in IT areas, such as instrument of IBM DB2 and/ or Oracle, instrument of open-source operating system( Unix, Linux), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network, and CompTIA Server( an added advantage) 

Job Summary 
 The jobholder is responsible for monitoring the overall IT ecosystem. She will also perform analysis, resolution & remediation of issues affecting the Bank’s services. She will collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the bank’s network and its connected devices.

Position 4: Branch Manager – Class IV Branch 

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Business-related fields, plus a minimum of eight (8) years applicable banking experience, out of which three (3) years in an administrative position. 

Master's in a business-related course (an added advantage) 
Training in domestic and  transnational banking operations, credit management, and leadership (an added advantage)

Job Summary 
The job holder is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the banking activities of a branch office. S/ he ensures that operating procedures, rules, regulations, and the law of practices of the bank are followed by inferiors. The retainer leads the branch sales and customer service initiatives and attends to the branch's functional excellence. S/ he prepares and submits periodic budgets,  functional plans, and activity and progress reports. The retainer participates in colorful community activities and keeps in close touch with the business community to promote services offered by the Bank. 
 Place of work Balchi Branch – Balchi Town( V.No HO/ 03263/ 25) 

Position 5: Branch Manager – Class II Branch 

Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Accounting, Economics, Management & Business Administration, plus a minimum of ten( 10) years’ experience in the banking sector, out of which three( 3) years in an administrative position. 

Master's in a business-related course( an added advantage) 
 Training in domestic and international banking operations, credit management, and leadership( an added advantage) 

Job Summary 
The job holder is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the banking activities of a branch office. S/ he ensures that operating procedures, rules, regulations, and code of practices of the bank are adhered to by subordinates. The jobholder leads the branch sales and customer service initiatives and guides branch functional excellence. S/ he prepares and submits periodic budgets,  functional plans, and activity and progress reports. The jobholder participates in colorful community activities and keeps in close touch with the business community to promote services offered by the Bank.
