Position – Intern – Financial Control Ethiopia  

Qualification Recent graduate with a degree in a finance-affiliated field  Interest in Financial Control  Self- motivated, visionary and a good platoon player  Drive to succeed, with the capability to suppose both creatively and strategically Questioning,  logical mind Good interpersonal & communication skills verbal and written  Capability to work with tight deadlines and maintain quality of affair ability to make strong connections with stakeholders  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Packages, especially Excel, and adaptable to learning ERP software

During your placement, you may be  needed to support finance change programme, process  enhancement enterprise, and engaging stakeholders across business  brigades. These will give you the big- picture understanding of our work and how it supports the delivery of our vision and strategies.

Duties and responsibilities  

The duties will include but not limited to Review and  checkup checks for paymentpost-due industriousness by Accountants/ Senior Accountants  give support as needed with homemade journals, account adaptations, and off- system payment requests icing  delicacy and compliance with applicable  programs  Support the income recognition process by rooting  applicable reports and working with the client service and examinations dept  Support conciliation of all applicable accounts and  insure that this is completed to commercial  norms  Maintain and file  fiscal records as per commercial policy  Complete trip & Charges  checkups as per policy  Complete yearly cash journal rapprochements  Submit applicable documents to the original bank as requested  Support the medication of original duty cessions and other statutory returns.   help with the provision of information to internal/ external adjudicators  literacy and development  openings for the intern  You'll get a deeper understanding of the British Council and the work that will do impacting lives across the globe. You'll come familiar with working in an International Organization and in a multilateral  terrain.  Throughout your programme, you'll gain  sapience and hands- on experience on day- to- day account systems and procedures, and get specialist knowledge and experience in finance grounded on our business  requirements. Your placement will give you the  occasion to learn and bed the core specialized finance and systems knowledge you need to move forward. This  occasion will help you  make on the specialized chops gained and  make your knowledge of our  marketable business,  threat  operation, and how we interpret  figures, trends, and strategies into  fiscal plans,  vaticinations, and business  opinions.  Your line  director will support and nurture your development and  insure you're given the chance to learn and exercise the chops you'll bear as a leader in  unborn  places.

Remuneration Interns will admit a yearly  paycheck  Contract Type – Locally Engaged

Conditions – All applicants should have apre-existing legal status to live and work in the country of  operation. The British Council won't  grease/  guarantor visa  operations and work permits.
