The Ethiopian Civil Service University( ECSU) was established in 1995 to support the metamorphosis drive of the Ethiopian Civil Service within the environment of the country’s development programs and strategies so that it becomes a system that's effective, transparent, responsible, learning and changing. More specifically, the University aims at erecting the capacity of the civil service at both civil and indigenous situations through technical/ professional exposure/ education, training, exploration and consultancy programmes and services. The University has been established through a Council of Ministers Regulation No 3 of 1996 as an independent advanced education institution fastening on erecting the capacities of the country’s civil service.
Our Vision To come a leading center of excellence in public service capacity structure in Africa by 2025 through structure effective, effective, transparent and responsible public service which can contribute to the consummation of the development and metamorphosis drive of the country.
