The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Addis Ababa seeks to recruit two suitably qualified applicants for Assistant Clerks Position.  

Position Assistant Clerks  At the Visa and Consular Section)  

The applicant should possess the following  minimal qualifications.  

• B.A. or professional experience in the  executive field

• Excellent knowledge of Amharic and English (both mandatory)  

• Preferably sufficient command of the German language in reading and writing (applicants with advanced – language proficiency in German will be preferred)  

• Knowledge of the following language will be considered an asset Tigrinya, Somali, Oromo, Arabic, French, Working knowledge of standard IT programs (Word, Excel and similar).

Able to work in a team, showing politeness and respect, The Embassy is offering a full- time position with a working time of 40 hours.  

Payment is subject to the Embassy’s salary scale and will be applicable and customary. The contract will be based on Ethiopian law. Benefits  similar as medical insurance are offered to employees and their families under certain conditions. Should your application be considered, you'll be informed in October 2023 and be invited to the Embassy for an interview. You'll then be required to present original documents.

Please note that the Embassy is  unfit to refund  trip expenses arising from interviews. Should you not be invited for an interview, please accept that your operation wasn't successful.  

Please note that the selected applicant is obliged to undergo a medical examination and pass security clearance by the German authorities.
