Danish Refugee Council invites qualified applicants for the following job positions. DRC is Denmark’s largest NGO. We're a leading international NGO – one of the many with a specific expertise in forced displacement. In 40 countries across the world, our  7,500  workers work to protect, advocate,  and build sustainable futures for refugees and other displacement-affected people and communities.  

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), an international non-governmental organization (NGO), has been providing relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. DRC promotes and supports solutions to the problems faced by refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs), and migrants.  

Position 1: HR and Admin Intern  

Experience and specialized competencies  

Ability to work in Shire or Mekelle  

Excellent skills in the use of computers (MS Word, Excel, Outlook Power PowerPoint).  

EDUCATION( include certificates, licenses, etc.)  

Fresh Graduate from a recognized university in Human Resource Management and other applicable fields  

LANGUAGE (indicate fluency level)  English, Tigrigna & Amharic – Excellence in spoken and in writing  

Location: North Area Office – Shire and Mekelle, Tigray.  

Position 2: Finance and Admin Assistant  

EDUCATION (include certificates, licenses, etc.)  

Diploma, BA in accounting, Management, or applicable field from a recognized institution.  

Experience and specialized competencies  

Well-developed.  Organizational and planning skills to meet deadlines with limited supervision.  

Proven commitment to responsibility.  

Minimum of 1 year of applicable work experience, preferably with NGOs for BA and 3 years of applicable experience for Diploma holders.  

Experience using financial software applications and/ or advanced computer skills.  

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective working relations.  

LANGUAGE (indicate fluency level) English, Tigrigna & Amharic – Proficiency in spoken and in writing  

Location: North Area Office – Mai-Tsebri, Tigray.  

Position 3: Supply Chain Assistant- Warehouse.   

EDUCATION (include certificates, licenses, etc.)  

Degree/ Diploma in purchasing and supply management, management, finance, or applicable fields.  

Experience and specialized competencies  

Training in the supply chain area  

Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably with an INGO.  

Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.  

Be a team player.  

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  

Good command of both spoken and written English  

Commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures.  

Proficiency in the MS Office packages is essential.  

LANGUAGE (indicate fluency level)  English, Tigrigna & Amharic – Excellent in spoken and in writing  

Location:.  North Area Office – Mekelle, Tigray.  

Position 4: Supply Chain Officer – Procurement  

EDUCATION (include certificates, licenses, etc.)  

University degree (Bachelor’s) in supply chain management or other original logistics fields.  

Experience and specialized competencies  

Preferably experienced in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, or another applicable field, with INGOs, for at least 2 years.  

Excellent proficiency in all MS Office software applications.  

Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both singly and within a team in a demanding work environment.  

Excellent personnel management skills, including diplomacy, communication, and negotiating skills.  

Experience in staff training and capacity building. Results-  acquainted and demonstrated ability to make partnerships.  

LANGUAGE: (indicate fluency level) English, Tigrigna, Afar & Amharic – Fluency in spoken and in writing  

Location: North Area Office – Mekelle, Tigray.  

Position 5: Finance Officer  

EDUCATION (include certificates, licenses, etc.)  

University degree (Bachelor's) in accounting/ Finance,/ Audit)  

Experience and specialized competencies  

Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both singly and within a team in a demanding work environment.  

Excellent interpersonal and personnel management skills, including diplomacy, communication, and negotiating skills.  

Minimum 2 years of applicable work experience in the financial/ accounting field.  

Experience in staff training and capacity building.  

Results-oriented and demonstrated ability to make partnerships.  

Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.  

Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both singly and within a team in a demanding work environment.  

Excellent skills in the use of computers (MS Word, Excel, Outlook Power PowerPoint).  

LANGUAGE (indicate fluency level)  

English, Tigrigna & Amharic – Fluency in spoken and in writing
