Since the  commencement of IOM in 1951, Movement Operations have been and continue to be a abecedarian pillar of the Organization’s work. The systematized movement of persons in need of  transnational migration  backing is a primary accreditation of the Organization and a  foundation of IOM’s operations. This accreditation has redounded in the  transnational transport of  further than 15 million  settlers and deportees worldwide. Movement Operations Units in colorful IOM Country services, coordinated under the Division of Resettlement and Movement Management( RMM) in the Department of Operations and extremities( DOE) at IOM’s Geneva Headquarters( HQ), are responsible for all aspects of  trip for  settlers and deportees under IOM’s aegis , in  agreement with the  colorful  frame agreements with resettlement and  entering Governments and  mates across the diapason of the Organization’s programmes.

Background  

Under the general supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Resource Management Officer( Finance), the Intern- Finance will be responsible and  responsible for  furnishing necessary support in the Finance Unit of the Mission. In particular, he she will  

Core Function Responsibilities

help Sr. Finance Assistant( s) to review on regular base the applicable Debtors Creditors group canons, initiate follow- up  dispatches for outstanding cases and  give timely feedback to the Sr. Finance Assistant. help Finance Officer in  collecting yearly accounts for his/ her review and dispatch to the completed package Manila Administrative Centre via an  sanctioned communication channel.  help Treasury Assistant to prepare & process payments to  merchandisers. Follow up with staff to  repay  particular charges against  operation of office  coffers wherever applicable. help Sr. Finance Assistant( S) to  tab staff for the private use of IOM  coffers  similar as vehicles,

Telephone, breakouts,etc., and to follow up for payment.  Position – Finance Intership  Position Grade Internship

Qualification  Fresh graduate with a university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business  Administration, or any other affiliated field of study.  

Experience High  position of computer  knowledge is needed, in particular, experience in motorized HR and/ or Account software systems; good knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel;  Good communication chops, drive for results, inflexibility,  effectiveness, and respect for diversity;  Capability to work effectively under stressful conditions and within a platoon of associates from varied  societies and professional backgrounds.

Fresh graduate( within one year of scale)  

Skills veritably good communication and interpersonal skills

Computer Literate.  

Languages  Thorough knowledge of spoken and written English  Knowledge of other original languages is an advantage.
