Premier Switch results S.C. (PSS) is a leading Electronic Payment Processing Company, established by major private banks of Ethiopia. PSS is a consortium owned by six private banks, i.e., Awash International Bank, Nib International Bank, United Bank, Berhan International Bank, Addis International Bank, and Cooperative Bank of Oromia. The Company has implemented the first multi-institution shared-switch infrastructure to provide its member banks with a state-of-the-art payment technology to drive ATM, POS, e-commerce, Mobile Banking, and other payment channels, and provide clearing of Debit/ Credit card transactions for the banks. Currently, PSS has one vacant position stated below and would like to invite applicants who meet the qualifications and required experience listed for this job opening.  

Position 1: Junior Software Support Developer  

Qualifications  

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.  

This is an entry-level position; no experience is required  

Graduates of 2024/2025, CGPA 300 &  over, Exit Exam pass mark required.

Additional Exposure in Python and Android technology is a plus.  

Responsibilities  

Assist in software development projects feasibility study.  

Assist in business requirement gathering, designing software architecture, software coding, testing, and commissioning.  

Assist in writing code  

Maintain and upgrade being software  

Assist in identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications.  

Ensure the developed software’s codes, patches, versions, and releases are well documented and controlled.  

Ensure the proper maintenance and storage of source codes.  

Assist in support for escalated software support services to users within established SLAs.  

Assist in the design work and project plan to successfully deliver software development projects.  

Assist in preparing training and user guide materials for developed software and conduct training.  

Keep up to date with industry software trends and technology development  

Learn the source code of all software programmes to ensure the ability to troubleshoot issues  

Troubleshoot and fix minor bugs fixes  

Conduct development tests  

Conduct performance criteria.  

Prepare periodic reports.

Position 2: Training Coordinator  

Qualifications  

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education, Business Administration, Management, or related field.  

At least 2 times applicable experience for Officer I  

At least 4 times applicable experience for Officer II  

The applicable instrument is profitable.  

Liabilities apply to the policies and procedures for the training and consultancy business.  

Involved in skills gap analyses and identifying training/ consultancy requirements in the request, and developing responsive programs that meet the identified requirements.  

Collect applicable tenders across different sources regularly and ensure tenders are reviewed, responded to properly to win the bid.  

Respond to bid invitations for the supply of technology and trading items.  Involved in drafting contract documents in collaboration with applicable work units.  

Involved in the design work project plan to successfully deliver awarded bids.  

Involved in the development of quality work product( s) and documentation for training and consultancy projects  

Involved in the design of training programs and workshops, ensuring that they're aligned to customer requirements and upgrading existing programs, including assignment plans and training aids as demanded.  

Involved in the facilitation and execution of the training and consultancy services provision to meet customer expectations as per the agreed contract.  

Gather feedback on sessions from attendees for improving future content and presentation.  

Support the design of new training programmes.  

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training and consultancy programmes.  

Conduct performance metrics.  

Work with the Commercial strategy and the Invention Unit in the marketing and promotion of training and consultancy services.  

Prepare periodic reports Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Position 3: Senior Software Inventor  

Qualifications  

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.  

At least 5 years of experience in software development and coding  

Training in software development and database management systems  

Experience in programming languages similar to C, JavaScript, Python, PHP, SQL, etc.  

Android technology experience required.

Experience in writing SQL queries for a standard Relational Database Management system.  

Real-world experience in web-based software application development and deployment  

Applicable certification is advantageous.  

Sweb-based salary as per the Company scale, with an attractive benefit package.
