Position 1 Programme Wash Intern
To qualify as an advocate for every child you'll have
• He or she should be enrolled at a university in Ethiopia at the undergraduate or graduate level or be a recent graduate( within the once two years) in Public Health, Water Engineering, or related specialized field is required.
• Knowledge of applicable computer systems and applications; excellent knowledge of MS Office is required.
• Fluency in English is required. Under the supervision of WASH Specialist NO- C based in Shire, the intern will undertake the following tasks
• Provide support in effective coordination mechanisms between all WASH philanthropic partners at Shire level and with the public WASH cluster/ coordination platform are in place, including effective links, communication, and information management.
• Provide support in effective implementation of a monitoring plan to follow up the implementation of UNICEF’s response in WASH sector, incorporating required changes into WASH-specific activities, with special attention to ensure indifferent and inclusive provision of services among internally displaced peoples, refugees and host communities.
• Through the guidance of the WASH Specialist coordinate with government and partners in the different stages of the program implementation, following up on recommendations and other UNICEF commitments, including capacity development to public partners.
• Compile, analyze and keep up- to- date information on philanthropic WASH partners, their capacities and interventions at(sub-national position)( including Who, What, Where and When) and provide consolidated reports as feedback to partners and for the public marshland cluster/ coordination platform.
• Assist with WASH outcome reporting and effective information sharing to demonstrate the ending of gaps.
• When necessary, highlight specific issues for the attention of the Tigray WASH cluster coordinator and cluster partners to ensure priority and corrective measures are taken
• Provide specialized support in WASH facilities design and construction supervision

Position 2 Education Intern
To qualify as an advocate for every child you'll have
• He or she should be enrolled at a university in Ethiopia at the undergraduate or graduate level or be a recent graduate( within the past two years) in education, social science, civil engineering, or a related field is required.
• Knowledge of applicable computer systems and applications; excellent knowledge of MS Office is required.
• Fluency in English is required. The intern (s) will be supporting the education programme to monitor and plan for the school reopening process by collecting data collection on the status of schools, adherence to safe academy reopening guidelines and minimal standards of the REB, and monitoring UNICEF interventions with a focus on school reconstruction, rehabilitation and repair and maintenance interventions across the region. The intern( s) may also support research on issues related to barriers to education( or another applicable area related to the UNICEF education programme and an area of the candidates studies) and will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with the WASH, child protection, nutrition and health sections to identify areas ofinter-sectoral needs or areas for collaboration between the UNICEF programmes.

Position 3 Social and Behavior Change Intern
To qualify as an advocate for every child you'll have
• He or she should be enrolled at a university in Ethiopia at the undergraduate or graduate level or be a recent graduate( within the once two years) in in Health Promotion/ Communication, Social/ Behavior Change Communication, Public Health, and applicable Social Sciences is required.
• Knowledge of applicable computer systems and applications; excellent knowledge of MS Office is required. • Fluency in English is required. While carrying out the tasks assigned to him her, the intern will acquire applicable experience and build/ enhance his/ her capacity in.
• The development, dissemination and monitoring of SBC content in UNICEF supported media content and print materials.
• Contribute to planning, implementation and supervision of UNICEF supported campaigns and events as needed.
• Participate in routine data collection and analysis for social behavior change including creation of tools, methods, and data base to ensure timely comprehensive and current data on SBC are available.
• Organization of advocacy events and forums
• Capacity enhancement activities for implementing partners( support frontline workers on skills and competencies necessary for the provision of SBC through on job coaching and mentoring).
• Facilitation implementation of SBC activities and group sessions in internally displaced peoples spots, health facilities and other modalities( motherly health, mother support groupetc.) on selected issues as applicable.
• Prepare human interest stories, story boards and short videos on promotion of desired behaviors and demand generation.
• Conduct regular supervision and monitoring of SBC interventions in internally displaced peoples sites and health facilities to ensure the delivery of services are acceptable and over to the standard.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting for the SBC section

Position 4 Nutrition Intern
To qualify as an advocate for every child you'll have
• He or she should be enrolled at a university in Ethiopia at the undergraduate or graduate level or be a recent graduate( within the once two years) in nutrition, public health, social science, health Education/ promotion or related specialized field is required.
• Knowledge of applicable computer systems and applications; excellent knowledge of MS Office is required.
• Fluency in English is required.
Under the supervision of Nutrition Specialist, the intern will undertake the following tasks
• Prioritize the delivery of Infant and Young Child Feeding in extremities (IYCF- E) counseling in programme sites, and health facilities (health posts and health centers).
• Support capacity of health workers on skills and competencies necessary for the provision of MIYCF in emergencies counselling through on job coaching and mentoring.
• Raise demand for applicable IYCF- E at individuals and homes ’ levels across the region in collaboration with other sections.
• Print and disseminate IYCF- E promotion posters in programme sites, host communities and health facilities.
• Prepare mortal interest stories, story boards and short videos on IYCF- E promotion.
• Conduct supervision and monitoring of IYCF- E interventions in programme sites and health facilities to ensure the delivery of services are optimal.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting for the nutrition section to ensure timely comprehensive and current data on nutrition are available.

Position 5 Programme Monitoring & Evaluation Intern
To qualify as an advocate for every child you'll have
• He or she should be enrolled at a university in Ethiopia at the undergraduate or graduate position or be a recent graduate( within the once two times) in in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, or a applicable Social lores field is required.
• Knowledge of applicable computer systems and operations; excellent knowledge of MS Office is required.
• Fluency in English is required. Under the supervision of the Planning and Monitoring Specialist, Mekelle, the intern will undertake the following tasks related to data collection and reporting
• Using applicable methods similar as observation, interviews, and concentrate group discussions, validate that the activity under review was implemented as planned, and check and verify data quality.
• Data is to be collected on the quality of program delivery, effectiveness of the program in addressing barriers and bottlenecks and accuracy of reports.
• Partake the collected data by uploaded to the PMU- Server.
• Create one page reports as required.
