Kuriftu Africa Village is thrilled to announce the opening of a brand-new African village resort near Ashew Meda. We're currently seeking passionate and talented individuals to join our team in the following positions.
Position 1: Ethiopian Traditional Food Chef
Qualifications & Experience
• Proven experience as a cook specializing in Ethiopian traditional cuisine.
• expansive knowledge of Ethiopian spices, ingredients, and cooking methods.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Certification in culinary arts is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare authentic Ethiopian dishes using traditional cooking methods and recipes.
• Develop and enhance the traditional food menu to ensure a unique dining experience.
• Source and manage high-quality ingredients for Ethiopian cuisine.
• Maintain the loftiest standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on traditional cooking ways.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal or event-specific dishes.
Location Ashewa meda, Asko, Betel, keraniyo – Addis Ababa
Position 2: Bar Manager/ Waiter/ Barman
Qualifications & Experience
• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or analogous role in the hospitality assiduity.
• Strong knowledge of beverages, mixology, and bar operations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced terrain.
• Certification in bartending or hospitality management is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the diurnal operations of the bar, ensuring flawless service and an exceptional guest experience.
• Develop and maintain a different, creative beverage menu, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
• Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Train, mentor, and supervise bar staff to deliver high-quality service.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws.
• Monitor financial performance, including sales, costs, and profitability, and develop strategies to achieve targets.
• Foster a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for guests.

Position 3: Accountant
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of counting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational, logical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage diurnal accounting operations, including accounts outstanding, delinquent, and payroll processing.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial projections.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
• Support cost control enterprise and fiscal planning.

Position 4: Senior Accountant – Hospitality Assiduity
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and strong MS Excel skills.
• Excellent knowledge of fiscal regulations and accounting principles( IFRS).
• Strong logical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate fiscal records, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and fiscal reporting.
• Prepare yearly, daily, and periodic fiscal statements in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, and budgets to identify disagreements and recommend solutions.
• Assist with the medication of budgets and vaticinations.
• Process payroll, accounts outstanding, and accounts delinquent efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure compliance with duty laws and assist in tax planning and filing.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.

Position 5: Finance Manager – Hospitality Industry
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA instrument preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Exceptional logical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the hotel’s fiscal operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and audit requirements.
• Manage cash flow, accounts receivable/ outstanding, and payroll processing.
• Develop and cover internal controls to safeguard assets and improve efficiency.
• Prepare accurate yearly, daily, and periodic financial statements.
• Coordinate with department heads to manage financial planning and cost control initiatives.
