Job Description  

Menschen für Menschen Foundation is a nongovernmental, nonreligious, and nonpartisan humanitarian organization involved in Integrated Rural Development activities and Project Coordination Office (PCO) wishes to invite applicants with the following qualifications and experiences.  

Main Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Efficiently handle cash transactions with accuracy and integrity.  
  • Provide exceptional client service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.  
  • Maintain a clean and systematized checkout area. Process returns, exchanges, and refunds efficiently.  
  • Maintain petty cash and count and balance cash every day. Uphold company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer interactions.  

Language  A good command of speaking & writing Amharic and English.  

Number required 1 (One)  Gender Female  

Terms of Employment Monthly renewable contract  

Qualifications  BA in Accounting and Finance or Related.  

Work Experience  

A Minimum of 5 years of proven work experience in a related industry as a Cashier or related role.  

SKILLS  

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment  

Excellent computer literacy and accounting software.

Position 2 Accountant  

Job Description  Menschen für Menschen Foundation is a nongovernmental, nonreligious, and nonpartisan humanitarian association involved in Integrated Rural Development activities and the Project Coordination Office (PCO) wishes to invite applicants with the following qualifications and experiences.  

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledger entries, and financial statements  Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.  Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.  

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.  

Number required 1( One)  

Terms of Employment Monthly renewable contract.

Qualifications  

  • BA in Accounting and Finance or Related.  

Work Experience  

  • A Minimum of 6 years of proven work experience in a similar industry as an Accountant or related role. Having additional experience in audit or tax preparation as well as familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.  

SKILLS  

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts  Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.  
  • Excellent logical and problem-solving skills.  Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.  
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity  Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.  

Language  A good command of speaking & writing Amharic and English.
