Position 1: Regional Seed System Coordinator 

Essential Job Responsibilities 
 • Mapping crucial stakeholders, including humanitarian and development partners who directly support food security, engagements for collaborative action towards resiliently responding to seed insecurity in shocks and stress-prone targeted areas. 
 • Actively participate in periodic planning, implementation, monitoring of each intervention, and reporting. 
 • Identifying the existing seed systems, particularly original seed business owners and community-based seed banks, and assessing their strengths, weaknesses, and areas of their support. 
 • Participating, facilitating, and coaching region context, and Seed Security Systems( SSS) assessments in collaboration with other humanitarian, and development actors. 
 • Facilitating and organizing specialized capacity training, workshops, evaluation events, field days, seed fairs, experience-sharing events, quick assessments, etc. 
 • Conducting/ supporting, and facilitating the demonstration of participatory variety selections, and variety deployments through crowdsourcing/ tricot approaches in collaboration with implicit implementing partners,  similar to agrarian research centers, BoANR, and Universities. 
 Knowledge and Experience/ minimal qualifications 
 • Should have a minimum of Master of Science in Agronomy, crop production, Seed science and technology, agrarian economics, and other related field of study. 
 • Should have a minimum of 8 years of working experience mainly related to research( e.g. participatory variety selection), of which at least 3 years in humanitarian and development work experiences. 
 • Experience in NGO, project management, and philanthropic associations in shock/ stress-sensitive areas is very important and preferable. 
 • Very good knowledge about the Ethiopian farming systems in general and the Seed Systems in particular,  similar to seed insecurity response in fragile areas due to shocks and stress situations. 
 • Have a good concept or experience of the philanthropic- Development- Peace( HDP) Nexus for common action to achieve collection outcomes, and to ensure flexible response to seed insecurity response through enhancing effective coordination. 
 • Very good experience in stakeholder mapping, analysis, engagement, and management 
 • Very good quality of communication skills,  logical skills, critical thinking,  visionary to changing environments situations, able to shoulder multiple assignments under stressful conditions.

Position 2: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Specialized Specialist 

Knowledge and Experience/ minimal qualifications 
 • Should have a minimum of Master of Science in statistics, economics, Project management, and related field of study. 
 • Should have a minimum of 8 times working experience, and at least 4 years of experience working as MEAL. 
 • Experience in NGO, project management,  and philanthropic organizations, in shocks stress sensitive areas is preferable. 
 • Have concept or experience of philanthropic- Development- Peace( HDP) Nexus for common action to achieve collection outcomes. 
 • introductory knowledge about the Ethiopian Seed Systems in general, and seed security response in particular. 
 • Very good experience with MEAL systems in response to tore-current shock stress, which enables adaptive management practices. 
 • Very good quality communication skills,  logical skills,  visionary to changing environments and situations. 
 Fluency in English, and Amharic languages. Regional working languages are the Responsibility of Participants and Stakeholders.

Position 3: Technical Advisor seed sector system in a fragile  environment 

Knowledge and Experience/ Minimum Qualifications 
 • Should have a minimum of Master of Art/ science in agrarian economics, agribusiness management, collaborative and business/  fiscal management, and business management. 
 • Should have a minimum of 8 years of working experience mainly related to seed systems in general and seed marketing systems in particular. 
 • At least 4 years of experience in NGO, project management, and philanthropic organizations in the areas of seed systems and seed marketing systems. 
 • veritably good experience in seed system assessment, seed business plan development,  fiscal management and business governance, and resource rallying through partnership to ensure common efforts toward flexible seed insecurity response. 
 • Very good knowledge about the Ethiopian  husbandry systems in general and the Seed Systems in particular,  similar to seed instability response in fragile areas 
 • Very good experience on last mile seed distribution model for both seed emergency aid and seed producers to ensure flexible seed marketing systems. 
 • Have a good concept and experience of the humanitarian- Development- Peace (HDP) Nexus for common action to achieve collection outcomes, and to ensure a flexible response to seed insecurity. 
 • Very good experience in seed actors mapping, analysis, engagement, and management 
 • Very good experience in organizing multi-stakeholder workshops in areas of assessing seed policy/ proclamation/ regulation gaps, and designing strategies for a cooperative effort to ensure the enabling environment, particularly in fragile areas. 
 • veritably good quality communication skills,  logical skills,  visionary to changing environments situations, systemic and critical thinking abilities, and ability to shoulder multiple assignments under stressful conditions. 
 • Fluency in English, and Amharic language. Regional working languages are a plus.
