Experience from working in a protection or legal backing perpetration position in a humanitarian/ recovery environment, including the delivery of specialized capacity erecting training
Experience with child protection-related issues will be considered a very strong asset
Experience in project management, including supervision of staff and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
Significant experience in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on project activities previous experience representing an I NGO, and advocating on behalf of beneficiaries, in public forums (e.g. Protection Cluster/ Sector) Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Fluency in written and spoken English; fluency in written and spoken original language will be considered a very strong asset.

Position 2 ICLA Officer
General professional competencies for this position
A university degree in law is a very strong asset; a social sciences degree with a background in protection-related work may be considered.
Minimum of 3 years ’ work experience in the field with displaced and/ or vulnerable groups and communities.
Experience working as a Project Officer in a humanitarian/ recovery context with IDP returnees preferably on LID and/ or HLP issues. former experience of working in complex and unpredictable surroundings.
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
Fluency in Somali, both written and oral essential.
Fluency in English, both written and oral essential.
Knowing the Somali Language is a must as the officer will have direct contact with the beneficiary and will give information, Counseling, and Legal Assistance
Legal background and knowledge of laws, both formal and customary, procedures, and practices operative in the Somali region, particularly laws and procedures related to LID and HLP.
Some experience in working with government authorities and vulnerable beneficiaries.
Protection work experience with an INGO is an asset.

General professional competencies
Minimum 2 years experience working with Education as a Specialized Assistant in a humanitarian/ recovery context.
Former experience working in complex and unpredictable contexts. / BA degree in education, educational planning, and management, or other related fields Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal Context/ Specific skills, knowledge, and experience
Good knowledge of the area and context in the Benishangul Gumuz Region
Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in original languages.

Good artistic awareness and sensitivity
Some experience working on community mobilization activities in a humanitarian/ recovery context.
Fluency in original languages is a requirement
