Located in Guraghe Zone of the Central Ethiopian State the Company is currently engaged in the production and export of roses. Position 1 Environmental, Social, Health, and Safety Officer  

Essential Functions 

  • Implementing ESHS management systems, policies, and procedures, including the implementation of ESHS action plans( where applicable); 
  • Ensure company compliance with its ESHS policies and procedures; 
  • Report on monthly, daily, and periodic bases on ESHS policies procedures implementation progress; 
  • Manage the company’s compliance with international  instruments, ensuring  check of periodic audits on a timely basis and applying recommended corrective action plans 
  • Assessing gaps against ESHS requirements and policies and identifying opportunities for value addition; 
  • Organize training ESHS for company employees; 
  • Ensure that ESHS rights are embedded in company-wide legal documents( where applicable); 
  • Regularly monitor the company’s compliance with ESHS conditions and  programs, including the implementation of agreed action plans and relaying findings to senior management;  
  • Job Requirements  

Minimum requirements 

  • Degree from an accredited institution in Occupational Health and Safety( OHS) or Environmental Management( or original fields); 
  • Knowledge of industry trends and applicable legislation/ regulation of the country and the capability to travel to multiple sites, frequently at short notice; 
  • Trainable in anch ESHS activities 
  • completed in English. Particular skills 
  • Strong communication skills, including report writing( use of PowerPoint and plates to present information in a terse format) and oral communication. 
  • largely motivated and results-driven.   
  • Strong logical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proven ability to tutor and grow the skills of company workers. 
  • Demonstrated ability to singly manage and prioritize a busy and different workload with a range of deliverables for a variety of stakeholders.   
  • Enjoy working as part of a team, collaborating and coordinating where applicable. 
  • Good judgment and attention to detail.  Specialized skills  Familiar with  transnational ESHS guidelines and references(e.g. IFC Performance Standards, World Bank EHS Guidelines, ILO Core Conventions);

Position 2 Farm Financial Controller  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Major duties and responsibilities of the person assigned as Farm financial controller are mentioned as follows  

General 

  • Manage and supervise all company’s  fiscal records at the farm 
  • Supervise the work of all accountants at the farm, 
  • Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work ways. 
  • Identifies staff development and training needs and helps them for improvement. 
  • Review and approve Payment Vouchers, Journal Vouchers, Goods Return Notes, etc. 
  • Ensure deals are reused directly and timely 
  • Ensure treasury activities are carried out on time 
  • Ensure the correctness of Payroll done at Farm 
  • Liaise with Head office for daily farm transfer and banks 
  • Keep fixed assets register and agree on the balance against  fiscal records 
  • Provide oversight of petty cash tally and ensure its agreement with cash on hand by performing surprise counts 
  • Confirm budget transfers are paid as per the request 
  • Prepare SoPs( Standard Operating Procedure), company policies on the internal control system and  parlous areas Cost accounting 
  • Review absoluteness of all required source documents and send them to the HO  similar as Goods Receiving Notes, Store Issue Vouchers, Goods Receiving and Issuing Notes, Goods Return Vouchers, sales validations, Purchase Voucher,s et,c and report any missed documents to the HO responsible person. 
  • Supervise, control, and lead workers assigned under his/ her direct supervision. 
  • Review correctness and ensure the acceptability of supporting documents when deals are reserved. 
  • Ensures all the necessary data are maintained and  streamlined regularly 
  • Coordinate yearly stock-taking on the farm site. 
  • Reconcile raw material & finished goods records 
  • Verify and  authorize stock reconciliations 
  • Propose  conduct to be taken on slow-moving, expired, and dead stocks 
  • ensure compliance with internal control & SSOPsin all movements 
  • Prepare and file yearly tax returns and ensure timely settlements of tax  arrears 
  • Maintain compliance with all company  programs and procedures 
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor  

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance; 
  • At least 7 years ’ experience in Accounting and Financial activities and a minimum of two years at senior level; 
  • Good experience and knowledge of ultramodern account procedures and standards, and the financial laws of the country applicable to a business association; 
  • Excellent computer proficiency( MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook) 
  • Excellent know-how of Peachtree Accounting 
  • Experience in the horticulture sector is advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement intertwined pest management strategies to protect crops. 
  • Examiner crops for Identification of major pest and disease challenges at the ranch point. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to cover,  help, and control pests and conditions. 
  • apply control measures and cover their effectiveness over some time. 
  • share in the medication of the spray schedule. 
  • Get advanced and current information on the health condition of hothouse shops to prepare chemical composites and ensure proper and timely implementation.

Position 4 – Human Coffers and Organizational Development Manager  

Duties and Responsibilities

HR Related 

  • estimate the company’s strategic and functional plans relating to HR and come up with proffers for improvement and help in implementation. 
  • Assess the company’s organizational structures, job designs, and salary structures and come up with proposals for improvement. 
  • Continuously conduct an assessment of the Company’s workers ’ recruitment, selection, hiring, promotion, race plans, development, and termination policies and procedures, and recommend ways for improvement.

  • Involve in Inventory counts  

Job Requirements 

  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Accounting 
  • At least 1 year of work experience as a Cashier/ Accountant 
  • Excellent verbal and spoken communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers. 
  • Knowledge of Peachtree Accounting Software.
