VisionFund Micro Finance Institution(S.C) is an Institution established according to Proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the pastoral and civic areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in four of the Regional States of the country.  VisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the  ensuing requirements

Position 1 Attorney I 

EDUCATION/ TRAINING Diploma in law & minimum 2 years applicable experience  

• Original language knowledge, communication skills & computer skill is advany=tageous.  

• knowledge of civil & commercial codes &  logical skill  

Major Responsibilities  

• Assists the Branch staff in handling all issues related to collateral & the safe custody of all legal documents on real estate mortgage & chattel mortgage;  

• Assists in registering & discharging mortgaged items;  

• Ensures the safe custody of all legal documents on real estate mortgage & chattel mortgage;  

• Draw up draft contracts, agreements, forms, letters of guarantee, and other transactional documents, etc. that suit a specified purpose;  

• Examines judgments & court rulings; analyzes their impact on company business & advises supervisor on approaches to be followed;  

• Gathering facts and establishing evidence, conducting investigations, examination analyses of cases, and preparation of contracts and claims;  

• Ensures the proper & timely delivery of notices to tardy clients.  

• Investigates & takes proper legal actions to rectify theft, forgeries & misappropriation of funds & property;  

• Complies & analysis of information & statistics that would assist in carrying out court activities & provide legal advice & assistance to the branches in legal matters of limited complexity and gravity & translation work of legal documents.  Location CN Region( Addis Ababa & its Surrounding), Addis Ababa  

Position 2 Portfolio Management Officer  

EDUCATION/ TRAINING BA Degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting or related fields  

EXPERIENCE A minimum of 4 years of applicable work experience.  

Major Responsibilities  

• Identifiesnon-performing loans that need special attention for further follow–up and applicable remedial action;  

• Prepares and presents periodical reports on the borrower’s business performance to  separate supervision for the overall Company considerations;  

• Contacts borrowers, visits their business, and provides advice to settle the arrears, and overdue amounts, improve utilization of the facility within mutually agreed time, or get better business management and performance;  

• Writes a notice to borrowers who don’t respond positively to advise them to make immediate repayment and arranges meetings with them to discuss the matter;  

• Seeks remedial actions for loans  unfit to rehabilitate; prepares offer and presents the case with applicable documents to supervisor to decide on the issue;  

• Forwards loans  unfit to rehabilitate to the Legal Officer to take legal action;  

• Initiates write-off proposal to the supervisor for conducting one write-off to follow up any attachable property for the write-off case in collaboration with the legal Officer.  Location Debre Birhan,( North) Ambo( North West) Furi (Addis Ababa)( West Region), Hawasa( South Region), Lideta( Addis Ababa) Central Region North  

Position 3 Branch Manager “ D ”  

Job Requirements  

• University Degree/ Diploma in economics, account, business administration, management, banking, marketing, collaborative, agrarian economics, agriculture, or related social sciences and business fields;  

• Related experience of 4 years for a degree and 6 years for a diploma  

• Determined personality with action, perseverance, and the ability to motivate and manage a team  

• Capability and willingness to take responsibility and largely advanced sense of rectitude  

• Ready to comply and live up to and by the organization's Ideals and Core Values  

• Be  complete in Microsoft Office applications  

• suitable to plan and manage finances, including an introductory understanding of accounts.  

• Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach  

• Very good communication and marketing skills  

• motor bicycle driving skill and License  Location Addis Ababa & Oromia; Sodo, Arbaminch & Mudula, SNNPR; Branches Under West Regional Operation Office, Oromia, Branches under Central North Regional Office( Addis Ababa and surrounding) and Branches under South Regional Operation Office
