Aggar Microfinance Institution (MFI) is the first privately owned marketable microfinance institution in Ethiopia. It was established under Proclamation No. 40/96, which has since been replaced by Proclamation No. 626/2009. The institution was created to serve the “ missing middle ” by providing credit and savings services in both civic and pastoral areas of the country. 
The founders envisioned achieving both social impact and profitability. Aggar was initially established by 443 shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr. Today, the number of shareholders has grown to over 750, the paid-up capital exceeds 200 million Birr, and total assets have surpassed 410 million Birr. 

Position 1: Branch Cashier 

Qualification: BA/ College Diploma in Accounting/ Management or related field 
Work Experience 2/6 years of applicable experience 
Place of Work: Furi Branch 

Position 2: Branch Manager I 

Qualification: MA/ BA degree in Marketing/ Management/ Economics/ Accounting or related field 
Work Experience 4 Years of applicable experience, of which 2 years senior Credit & Loan Officer at a Financial Institution 
Number Required 3 
Place of Work Darge, Jimma & Addis Ababa 

Position 3: Credit Analyst/Appraiser 

Qualification: MA/ BA in Economics/ Management/ Accounting/ Banking and Finance or related field 
Work Experience: 3/5 Years of applicable experience in related positions at a Financial Institution 
Number Required 2 
Place of Work: Addis Ababa, Head Office 

Position 4: Manager, District & Branch Operation Coordination 

Qualification: MA/ BA degree in Management/ Accounting/ Marketing/ Economics, or related field 
Work Experience 4/6 Years of applicable experience, 2 of which in related Senior positions at a Financial Institution 
Place of Work: Addis Ababa, Head Office
