Awash Bank, the first private bank in Ethiopia, was founded on November 10, 1994, following the collapse of the socialist regime. The establishment of the bank was initiated by 486 founding shareholders, who contributed a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million, and it commenced banking operations on February 13, 1995.

Position 1: Administrative Assistant I
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA degree in administrative services management plus one (1) year of experience in secretarial services.

Position 2: Trade Marketing & Sales Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA degree in social sciences, business, marketing, economics, or business administration plus four (4) years’ related experience. Professional training in marketing management is an advantage.
Job Summary
Implements trade marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and brand mindfulness. Develops campaigns and collaborates with other teams to identify business opportunities.

Position 3: Information Security Engineer II
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or related fields plus four (4) years’ experience in security engineering or infrastructure security. Professional knowledge in vulnerability management, ethical hacking, or related areas is an advantage.
Job Summary
Ensures security and integrity of the bank’s IT systems, networks, applications, and platforms. Monitors security infrastructure, implements secure configurations, identifies gaps, and recommends enhancements while collaborating with IT teams.

Position 4: Account Manager – I
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA degree in business-related fields plus five (5) years’ banking experience, including three (3) years in functional work in credit and trade services. Proficiency in the Chinese language is mandatory.

Supports relationship managers, manages customer documents, acts as a liaison between departments, and ensures effective account management.

Position 5: Senior – Trade Marketing & Sales Officer

Position 6: Senior – Interest Free Banking (IFB) Brand Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field plus six (6) years’ experience.
Job Summary
Implements IFB brand marketing strategies, manages campaigns, conducts research requests, and ensures brand consistency across all channels. Acts as a public-facing representative of the IFB brand.

Position 7: Brand Manager – Interest Free Banking (IFB)
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field plus eight (8) years’ related experience.
Job Summary
Develops and implements IFB brand marketing strategies to increase sales, brand awareness, and request share. Responsibilities include market research, campaign management, budget oversight, and collaboration with sales and product development teams. Acts as the brand’s public-facing representative, ensuring harmonious messaging aligned with the bank’s identity and values.

Position 8: Brand Manager – Noncommercial Banking
Required Qualification and Experience
An education degree in marketing, banking finance, economics, or a related field plus eight (8) years’ experience in financial sectors.
Job Summary
Coordinates non-commercial property estimation activities, ensuring accuracy of collateral and loan property valuations, verifying compliance with approved plans and title deeds, and assessing estimation reports.

Position 9: Principal – Digital Media Marketing Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA degree in social sciences or business, preferably in marketing/digital marketing, plus eight (8) years’ related experience. A master’s in business is an added advantage. Professional training in digital marketing is a plus.
Job Summary
Implements and manages the bank’s social media and digital marketing strategy, promoting the brand, products, and services. Manages online presence, campaigns, Google Advertisements, website content, and email marketing to strengthen commercial image and brand messaging.

Position 10: Principal – Database Engineer
Required Qualification and Experience
An education degree in information technology or a related field plus eight (8) years’ experience in database management within banking. A master’s in IT is an added advantage.
instruments Oracle 19c Certified Professional – OCP (mandatory); IBM Db2 Administration v 11.5 (added advantage).
Job Summary
Responsible for the design, efficiency, security, scalability, and availability of the bank’s database systems. Participates in building, implementing, and supporting the data infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security standards, and adapting to changes in technology and requirements.

Position 11: Manager – Graphic Design & Documentation Division
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Computer Science, Architectural Engineering, Film Production, Cinematography, or an IT-related field plus ten (10) years of applicable experience, including three (3) years in an administrative position.
Job Summary
Oversees and drives the bank’s visual communications, including graphics, illustrations, and video content. Ensures marketing, communications, and imprinting initiatives are supported by high-quality creative outputs. Responsibilities include leading design projects, establishing standards, mentoring the design platoon, managing documentation, editing audio/video content, maintaining document repositories, and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.

Position 12: New Headquarters Building Project Management Directorate
Required Qualification and Experience
Education Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Projects Management plus twelve (12) years of applicable experience with at least three (3) years in a directorial role. A master’s degree is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in project management, with a focus on high-rise buildings. Proficiency in design management software and construction-related engineering tools (AutoCAD, SAP, ArchiCAD, etc.).
Job Summary
Coordinates and oversees all activities of the Headquarters Building project on behalf of the Bank. Directs all aspects of the project from original planning to final completion and collaborates with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely, on-budget delivery with high-quality standards.
