The British Embassy is recruiting three program officers to support our ambitious agenda. As a Programme Officer, you'll play a crucial role in managing and delivering the Embassy’s programs.
Your primary responsibilities will be focused on program and financial management, working with government agencies, service providers, other donors, and Civil Society Organisations. In addition, there are significant opportunities for promotion and progression to other positions in the Embassy.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience
• visionary, self-motivated, and suitable to manage and deliver multiple priorities under limited supervision, can work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organizational abilities; suitable to work under pressure and manage multiple work streams.
• At least one year of proven experience in the program, fiscal management, or another related field
Language
• complete in English language( both written and oral English
• Proficiency in Amharic and/ or other Ethiopian languages is an added advantage
Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willingness to learn and grow.
• Experience in engaging and influencing external partners and managing suppliers effectively.
• Experience working on development and/ or philanthropic programming in Ethiopia.
