Engagement Officer at British Embassy

The main purpose of the job -The holder of this  part will spend their timeco-ordinating public tactfulness systems.

The ultimate end of this part, which will sit with the Soft Power brigades, managed by the Soft Power Project Manager, is to improve comprehensions of the UK in Ethiopia, particularly with the country’s presto- growing, dynamic youth population. The job holder will  work positive sentiment to deliver the UK’s objects on important issues like the commission of women and girls.The job holder will be visionary and snappily develop a good understanding of the UK’s  objects in Ethiopia, to advise and support teams across the Embassy on how stylish to reach Ethiopia’s growing youthful population. The job holder will lead the collaboration of public tactfulness  systems, drafting conception notes and budgets, engaging with stakeholders and delivery mates and ensuring delivery is on schedule. The ideal seeker will be organized, creative and great at  erecting connections.  

Roles and Responsibilites  

Public diplomacy projects  

• Coordinate the delivery of the British Embassy’s public  tactfulness systems, substantially at low- to no- cost, ensuring they deliver soft power for the UK and also serve other UK policy objects in the UK.  

• Set and meet deadlines to insure pacey delivery on systems, managing multiple pieces of work at formerly.  

• figure connections with youth associations and where applicable, pitch openings for British Embassy engagement.  

• Lead scoping of and engagement with design delivery mates and stakeholders.  

• Plan and manage small design budgets.  

• Draft conception notes and backing  flings for new  design ideas.  

• Work closely with the communication team to insure public tactfulness  systems are amplified in the media and on social media to insure they reach wide cult.

Essential qualifications,Skills and experience  

• Experience working on external relations or dispatches.  

• Proven capability to deliver high- quality work to deadlines.  

• design or programme operation experience.  

• Demonstrated capability to snappily get to grips with new systems and processes.  

• Excellent written English.

Language English and Amharic  

Level of language Required

Fluent in both Desirable qualifications, skills and experience  

• Experience working in an transnational terrain.  

• Experience working directly with elderly stakeholders.  

• Experience in planning and delivering events.  

• Experience creating social media content.  

• Knowledge of another Ethiopian language.
