The womanish-only internship program is a one- year program for fresh graduates who wish to develop their skills and career. The objectives of the program are, empowering youthful womanish graduates and impacting the organization’s gender parity that provides emerging womanish talents an opportunity to apply knowledge and enhance skills through mentoring and coaching, expanding their professional network, working on value- added projects, gaining hands- experience, and getting acquainted with the oriental difference.
Position 1: Senior Humanitarian Response Manager
Qualifications
Required
- BA Degree in Disaster Management or International Development or related field of study
- Five( 5) years of experience in emergency programming, disaster management, pastoral livehood programs, food security interventions, Protection, WASH, and/ or nutrition, and program management
- Proficiency in verbal and spoken English, proposal development, strategic and functional planning, budget planning and management, monitoring and evaluation, report writing
- Proficiency in standard office software package
- Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire and empower others
- Good interpersonal communication skill and ability to effectively liaise with government, community leaders and other stakeholders
- Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, and abstract understanding of participatory approach and sustainable development
- Proven capability to meet deadlines
- Knowledgeable in participatory planning
- Understanding of the importance of gender, youth and social inclusion
- Demonstrated commitment to principles of gender, equity, diversity, inclusion and PSHEA (safeguarding) through former positions or programming experience
Desired
- former experience managing staff and working with teams to achieve objectives
- Significant exposure to projects involving networking and multiple partnerships, particularly related to emergency response, food security issues, Protection, WASH, nutrition, commodity management
- Working knowledge of programming in chronically vulnerable environments
- Knowledge of original languages
- Skills in organizing and facilitating training events
- Expertise in one or more of the following program areas nutrition/ health, water/ santitation, food security, commodity management
