The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), an international-governmental organization (NGO), has been providing relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. DRC promotes and supports solutions to the problems faced by refugees, internally displaced people(IDPs), and migrants. The organization has offices across the region and has been functional in Ethiopia since 2009. With backing from bilateral and multilateral donors, DRC is currently enforcing a range of activities across Ethiopia, including WASH and shelter provision, child and youth protection, gender-grounded violence response, awareness- caregiving of migration risks, protection monitoring of migration routes, and livelihoods support for returning migrants or those at-risk of migration.
Position 1: Technical Field Manager (TFM)
Experience and specialized competencies( include years of experience)
A minimum of 5 years of working experience in Explosive Ordnance Disposal( a minimum of IMAS EOD level 3 qualifications) is needed
Experience as a trainer and supervisor of mine action specialized staff in EOD is required
Experience in logistics and the safety of personnel and means is required
Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent writing skills required
A high degree of computer literacy is required
Working experience in HMA is highly desirable
Substantial documented professional specialized experience in mine action
introductory first aid
introductory radio communication skills
Excellent command of the most common methodologies to identify, assess, and monitor activities, with a proven record of achievements
Strong administration and organizational ability
Excellent management and personnel skills – a calm and political disposition will be preferred
Ability and flexibility to understand the artistic and political environment and to work well with the original authorities.
Willingness to live and work in remote and isolated areas under introductory conditions is a must.

Minimum High School certification
A minimum of IMAS EOD Level 3 certification, or original from an Internationally recognized specialized school( Military or Mercenary) is required with proven experience in EOD Level 3.
Certification in HMA practices.
Full driving license (manual).
