Development for Peace Organization (DPO) is an Ethiopiannon-profit organization established in 2020 with a mission of striving to meet the humanitarian and experimental requirements of societies regardless of race, color, religion or artistic background. We're legally registered to work in Ethiopia (Reg. 5164) as National NGO and as INGO in South Sudan (Reg. 4178), Somalia (Reg. NGOD/ Moifar0422/ 022) and Kenya( OP. 218/ 051/22- 400/ 12732); it's also processing its registration in Yemen. We're currently seeking an educated Junior Environmental Health Professional to join our mission- driven association.
Position 1 Junior Environmental Health Professional
Job summary
- The inferior environmental health professional will support the implementation of hygiene, sanitation promotion, and water supply activities. He she will utilize applicable hygiene promotion approaches, adhering to standard principles, and ensuring a high level of community participation in colorful outbreak response interventions.
- He she will also be responsible for mobilizing communities, and play a pivotal role in promoting public health preventative interventions including sanitation campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to all stages of project planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation related to water, sanitation, hygiene promotion, and outbreak prevention.
- Conduct capacity- building training sessions for healthcare workers, community health workers, and rapid-fire response teams,
- Engage actively in risk communication and community involvement initiatives for colorful outbreak prevention and response.
- Coordinate and facilitate interactive hygiene promotion activities to drive social and behavioral change communication.
- Organize and facilitate hygiene and sanitation campaigns with partners and refugee structures.
- Develop doable exertion plans, procurement strategies, and spending plans for cholera outbreak response activities within the grant period.
- Participate in and conduct colorful health and WASH- related requirements assessments, and develop action plans for effective hygiene and sanitation promotion activities.
- Contribute to the design and production of applicable hygiene Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials.
- Maintain health/ WASH data, records, and lessons learned, and share them accordingly.

Qualifications
Education
- Degree (BSC) in Environmental Health Science from an accredited Institution and has active License to practice in Ethiopia.
Experience
- Two years of practical experience.

Position 2 Logistics Assistant
- The Logistics Assistant will report to the Medical Director, responsible for overseeing day- to- day, fleet management, Office Management general logistics needs related to the Puniydo Regional activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.
- Check and make sure that items received meet required norms; packaging, Expiry date and part/ diurnal/ model figures, etc.
- Issue goods following proper stores regulations – first in, first out, and goods with near expiry date to be issued next.
- Make sure all the store books are well kept in a secure way( Ledger book, release, waybill books and Delivery Books).
- Maintain proper and updated records of items kept in store. That's bin cards, ledgers and other documents are properly filled( waybills, requests etc.). Participate fully in the exercise of stock taking when due.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/ logistics Management or related field.

Position 3 Warehouse Assistant
Job Summary
- S/ he oversees the effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods including food, clothing, healthcare products, manufactured Goods, household items to support systems and programs. The Assistant supervises warehouse processes, and systems to ensure high level of productivity and accountability. The Warehouse Assistant must ensure total compliance to policies and procedures of DPO and colorful benefactors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of accoutrements received to the warehouse according to the specification in close coordination with Medical Director;
- Review daily and daily stock flows, summarize and consolidate and submit regular reports to the Medical Director;
- Make recommendations for restocking of demanded building materials when stock position
- Jointly with LAF Assistant, insure that materials are handled in the most respectable safety manner by the workers to avoid injuries to druggies;
- Preparing and keep record of Good Receive Notes (GRN) for incoming shelter materials to the warehouse and Good Release for allocating materials out from the warehouse.
- Monitoring resource usage and storage and any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor;
- Assist in ensuring timely submission of all fiscal documents to the finance department by the stipulated date and perform other related duties as may be required

- BA or College Diploma in Purchasing and Store Management, Supplies Management, Management
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years for BA and 3 years for Diploma
