The Embassy of Brazil in Addis Ababa announces that an open selection process will take place for the recruitment of one( 01) executive Assistant to provide support to the Embassy’s Chancery, in accordance with the Brazilian Regulatory Decree No 1570 of 07/21/95, the Ministerial Ordinance of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil of 09/12/95, and according to the rules of this Public Notice.

Position: Administrative Assistant

Job Requirements

Main job requirements are

Minimum age of 18 years;
Minimum education required: completed secondary education;
Work experience in areas related to the activities to be performed, particularly in the executive field; Oral and written proficiency in Amharic;
Ability to express oneself orally and in writing in English;
Knowledge of Portuguese is desirable.
Knowledge of Windows 11 operating system and MS Office;
Communication and teamwork skills, flexibility, and willingness to learn, as well as introductory knowledge of mathematics.

This offer intends to hire one (1) Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Embassy’s Chancery. The Executive Assistant will perform Administrative duties in the colorful sectors of the Embassy of Brazil in Addis Ababa. Among the main responsibilities are providing support in carrying out Administrative tasks; assisting in the allocation of visas, passports, and other travel documents; performing notarial acts and civil registry; assisting and providing support to Brazilians, including nationals in custody; organizing and monitoring meetings and events; drafting and rephrasing textbooks in Amharic and English; and liaising with nationals and foreigners.
