Ireland has enjoyed bilateral relations with Ethiopia since 1994, when its Embassy in Addis Ababa was first opened. Ireland’s engagement in Ethiopia is guided by the Government of Ireland’s general foreign policy, which seeks to promote a more secure, just, fair, and sustainable world. 
 Irish Aid, Ireland’s program for transnational development, envisages a world where people are empowered to overcome poverty and hunger and fully realize their rights and potential. Irish Aid in Ethiopia,  thus, aims to benefit the poorest and most vulnerable sections of society. 

Position Head of Administration 

Essential Requirements Candidates must be suitable to demonstrate the following. 
 • The candidate must have a first Degree in social science( preferably in business administration or mortal resource management) and seven years experience, out of which a minimum of five years experience at the elderly or middle management level with full responsibilities for commercial services and/ or organizational operations. 
 • The candidate must have expansive experience in the planning and implementation of mortal resource management systems, performance management systems, and services, as well as the ability to analyze, interpret, and explain the legal frame regulating employment in Ethiopia. 
 • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
 • The candidate must have computer skills in Microsoft Office sufficient for the performance of the below duties. 
 • The candidate must have Knowledge of functional budgeting, budget monitoring, procurement processes, and systems. 
 • The candidate must have good knowledge of functional and strategic planning processes and reporting support and controls during implementation. 
 • The candidate must have a proven record of a very high degree of integrity and trust. 
 • The candidate must have a proven ability to collate and distill large amounts of information, summarising findings to be used for management decisions and planning. 
 • The candidate must have effective supervision skills and knowledge of a range of professed staff to ensure their effective utilization and performance. 
 • The candidate must have interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with people at all levels and the ability to handle a leadership part. 
 • The seeker must be completely committed to cooperation and can work on one’s initiative. 

Desirables 
 • At least five years of applicable experience working with INGO, donor agencies, or analogous environments. 
 • Familiarity with the crucial principles and practice of effective aid delivery. 
 Periodic Leave Entitlement Annual leave entitlement is 20 working days per annum. 
 Gross Salary Entry point of scale for Grade ONE(€  31,236.48 per annum) paid in original currency. Salaries are paid directly to a bank account; therefore, the successful candidate must have a bank account.
