The Embassy of Sweden in Addis Ababa is responsible for Sweden’s relations with Ethiopia, Djibouti, South Sudan, the African Union( AU), IGAD, and UNECA. The Embassy consists of five sections Political and multinational affairs, promotion, and public diplomacy; Bilateral Development Cooperation; Regional Development Cooperation; Migration; and Administrative and Consular Section.
The ultimate program includes, among other partners, the African Union, the indigenous profitable communities, AfDB, and civil society organizations. The main thematic areas covered are environment and climate change, democracy and mortal rights, migration and development, inclusive profitable development, and peaceful and inclusive societies.
Position 1: Migration Assistant
Required Qualifications
Bachelor´s degree in Law, Social Sciences, or analogous
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Amharic and Tigrinya
Excellent competency in computer applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Desirable qualifications and experience
former work experience in an Embassy or transnational organization
Working experience from sanctioned authorities similar to migration, visa section, and executive section in a foreign office.
Additional language skills that apply to the position, for instance Swedish, French, or Arabic.

Strong team working skills
suitable to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with colorful tasks as required.
Ability to work independently
OK, organizational and time management skills to prioritize high workloads.
Position 2: National Program Officer
Required Qualifications
A master’s degree in an area applicable to the position
Excellent oral and written proficiency in English, as well as verbal communication skills.
Expansive experience of working with computer programs, applications, and systems.
Required work experience
At least 3 years of experience working with the thematic area
Have experience working at an embassy and/ or donor partner, or an implementing organization
Experience from philanthropic action
In addition, the candidate is expected to
Lowepro-active, problem-solving, logical, and open to learning;
oBe results orientated.
Have a good understanding of gender, conflict sensitivity, and a mortal rights-grounded approach;
drive a culture of cooperation
oBe willing to trip considerably to Ethiopia
