Position AIRPORT SERVICES RAMP OFFICER  

Qualifications & Experience 

 Airport Operations. Other 5 Years 

12 Years of  training or original 

Experience in Ground Ops Ramp including at least 3 years in a supervisor position with wide-body aircraft handling experience   

Knowledge/ skills – Comprehensive knowledge of airport ramp handling functions. – Ground Handling experience in areas of Aircraft 

loading, Weight & Balance, Load Control, and Documentation. 

Knowledge and Training of Dangerous Goods Regulations( Cat 10)

Experience with ALTEA or  analogous systems

Competent in the use of IT systems with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook( emails)

Fluency in spoken and written English and required original language Safety Sensitive Role Yes  

To oversee all aspects of outstation ramp operations to ensure these activities are carried out by Emirates operating procedures and safety standards, and original and transnational regulations. 

Ensure the safe, effective, and immediate delivery of operations on the ramp so that Emirates ’ safety and compliance levels are upheld and enhanced, whilst protecting our reputation, as per the criteria set forth by the Company’s safety and security policies, standards, and procedures. Plan, organized, monitored, and controlled all aspects of ramp operations including effective coordination of all internal and external departments such as Ground Handling Agents, caterers, fuelers, and colorful authorities at the airport, to ensure that decisions were made and operations were performed with safety in mind, with continual role modeling of stylish practice safety behaviors. Ensure a safe and on-time departure for Emirates.  

Job Outline  general 

Overall responsibility for all functional units and Ground Service Suppliers( GSPs) on the ramp. Monitor the readiness of GSPs to ensure that all coffers are available at the required time( s) to perform a safe turnaround. Ensure an acceptable number of resources are provided, in line with contract/ SLA, and used to optimize effectiveness. 

Interacts with all required stakeholders involved in the aircraft servicing to ensure all safety and functional handling procedures are in place and adhered to, including supervision of all loading and unloading as per Emirates. requirements, whilst observing the critical path or Precision Timing Schedules for the colorful engagement times. 

Responsible for maintaining near working relationships with internal departments (EKAS & EK SkyCargo), Airport Authorities, Police, Security, and third-party contractors to ensure that all parties are informed and apprehensive of changes in ground handling procedures. 

Undertake projects and duties from time to time, as advised by the Airport Services Manager, about functional processes, standards, and procedures throughout the Emirates Outstation Operation, thereby improving the safety,  effectiveness, and quality of the services delivered at the station.  Service Level Agreement( SLA)/ Crucial Performance Indicators( KPI) 

Oversee and regularly audit SLA adherence with all airport service providers, ensuring a measurable and deliverable set of standards( KPIs) are maintained and delivered at all times. Establish new standards when demanded to ameliorate overall performance. Manage and modernize the EKAS ramp operation reporting dashboard, producing and analyzing regular reports, identifying trends,  standard performance, etc., and presenting these to applicable stakeholders. 

Conduct SLA reviews and audits to ensure business partners and stakeholders comply with EKAS  functional and quality requirements. Work closely with EKAS HQ and the safety department in executing quality-related improvement initiatives identified.  

Compliance 

Ensure Passenger Service and Ground Operations Manual updates are communicated and adhered to, internally and by applicable GSPs.  

identify implicit areas of compliance vulnerability, changes in compliance landscape and risk, undertake regular risk assessments develop and implement mitigation corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and guide concerned stakeholders on how to avoid or deal with analogous situations in the future. 

Participate in compliance & external safety and nonsupervisory checkups. Produce audit reports to ensure adherence to conditions and follow up with concerned stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are implemented as needed. Use internal SMS tools similar to Coruson and QPulse to track and resolve quality or performance issues.  Investigations 

Raise reports if any non-compliance is discovered, and lead/  share in examinations of raised issues to identify root causes and develop/  apply corrective actions. Support in the investigation of all safety irregularities and work closely with EKAS HQ, Group Safety, Flight Operations( and other departments, as required) during investigations into accident incidents, critiquing investigation reports, and development and implementation of remedial actions.

Promote a culture of nonstop safety improvement, with open reporting of safety scarcities,  mortal factor issues, and compliance with original laws to uphold the delivery of safe and secure operations.
