Ethiopian Capital Market Authority is established by Capital Market Proclamation No 1248/2021 as an  independent Federal Regulatory Authority. One of the major objectives of ECMA is to ensure the existence of a capital market environment in which securities can be issued and traded in an orderly, fair, and effective manner.  ECMA, as a nonsupervisory authority, grants licenses to any person to operate as a security exchange, secondary exchange, security depository and clearing company, capital market service provider,  untoward trading facility or any other activity deemed by ECMA as a regulated activity under its jurisdiction. ECMA regulates and oversees trading in primary and secondary markets of securities, the use of electronic trading platforms that deal with securities and gives recognition and oversees the activities of self-nonsupervisory organizations.  

Position 1: Communication Officer  

Qualification Requirements 

Bachelor’s Degree or above in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Business Administration or a field related to the Job function from an accredited or recognized learning institution. 

A minimum of 2( two) years of applicable working experience

Position 2: Senior Supervision Officer II  

Academic Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Economics, Management, Accounting and Finance, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a field related to the Job function from an accredited or  honored learning institution. 

Work Experience 

6 years of applicable working experience preferably in overseeing nonsupervisory compliance, conducting in- depth due diligence, conducting risk assessments, leading audits, and reviews, or undertaking investigations and administering rule violations in financial institutions or other organizations engaging on similar assignments.

Position 3: Sr. Strategy and Change Management Officer I

Bachelor’s Degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management or a field related to the Job function from an accredited or recognized learning institution. 

A minimum of 4 years of applicable experience
