GIZ-Internal/ External Vacancy Announcement ‘#037/2024’ Biodiversity Forestry Program( BFP)  Contract finish date30.06.2024  The Biodiversity & Forestry Programme is now in its third and final part and focuses on consolidating, intensifying, and institutionalizing the processes and achievements reached by the earlier two phases, whereas strengthening companions ’ capacities on the native, regional and civil stage. The establishments responsible for protected space and forest management, specifically the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority( EWCA) are supported in capability and talent development, as well as in enhancing their monitoring and information management through the use of digital options. The tasks of the internship  

Organize handing over of BFP documentation to EWCA 

  • Based on the ongoing inventory taking at BFP, register all paperwork produced during the 10 years of BFP in partnership with EWCA( Organizational Development, HR, administration planning, neighborhood conservation, digital tools  similar to SMART, and so on.) 
  • Assist the handing over of all documentation to EWCA, specifically by aiding EWCA’s library staff in reorganizing( components of) the library to accommodate the products of supporting tasks. 
  • In cooperation with EWCA staff, suggest and prepare these documents that could be built- within the newly developed EWCA’s web point. 
  • Assure that the executive GIZ's necessities of handing over documentation and supplies to companions have been fulfilled.  Assist BFP- program staff in collecting classes learned related to EWCA. 
  • Develop with applicable GIZ/ GFA/ EWCA employees the main standards for ‘ lessons learned’. 
  • List main interventions with and for EWCA( date, persons concerned,  top purpose), according to these standards. 
  • Reach out to EWCA/ BFP colleagues, to develop the posterior ‘lessons- learnt ’.  
  • Support help in communication( to EWCA and BFP) 
  • Support in Amharic translations of verbal communication throughout events whenever wanted. 
  • Support the staff with drafting communication merchandise.  Work with the program according to rising wants and pursuits 
  • Support the specialized staff with any other project as wanted, contributing to the overall profitable closing of the program.  Job Conditions  Required{ qualifications}, competencies, and experience. 
  • To qualify for an internship,  aspirants have to be currently enrolled at a council or council and be in their final year or have graduated now not than 6 months from a bachelor’s or master’s degree at the time of application.  

Qualifications 

  • The candidate must have at least a B.Sc. in library science, wildlife management, natural resource, forestry, environmental science, or other related fields. 
  • Career Level Entry Level( Fresh Graduate)  Professional experience Other knowledge,  fresh competences 
  • Very good knowledge of librarian and documentation techniques. 
  • Good logical skills. 
  • Very good English and Amharic language skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Interested in nature conservation/ pure resource administration. 
  • Dedication to work in growth cooperation. 
  • Stress tolerant and open-minded. 
  • Strong knowledge of MS packages( Excel, Word, and other MS purposes), oand organizational expertise. 
  • Organized, high stage of accuracy, and attention to detail. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being held  responsible for meeting  redoubtable targets
