JAY JAY TEXTILES PLC, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is part of the 50 50-year-old JAY JAY group with factories in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Ethiopia. Started with our first factory in Ethiopia in 2014, we specialize in the manufacture of infant and baby wear clothing specifically for export to
USA. In our seven large factories at the Addis Ababa’s BOLE LEMI INDUSTRIAL PARK we undertake contract manufacturing on behalf of our Sri Lankan group company, Addis Ventures Private Limited, who are also our major shareholders.
Our main US customers are GERBER CHILDRENSWEAR, GARAN, CARTERS, THE CHILDRENS PLACE, etc. While our company exported over USD 80 Million from Ethiopia, our group combined exports from all four countries exceeded USD 350 Million during the last fiscal year. Being one of the largest garment employers here, we export nearly 25 of the garments exported from Ethiopia. We directly employ about 8800 persons, nearly 90 of them women.
JAY JAY TEXTILES PLC would like to invite competent and interested candidates for the ensuing position.
Position 1: Junior IE Executive
Education & Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in artificial engineering or a related field
Zero years of applicable handling matters in an organization.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Plan the method improvement and standardization program
Every week need to check a particular line’s capacity
Every week need to do multitasking and keep a proper record.
Follow up on all machine layouts before one particular style starts in production with all applicable departments.
Set up and sustain the workplace arrangement as per world-class standards.
Need to prepare the incitement of workers properly and on time.
Maintain for AB and LTO of the area below 4.
Daily, on timeline balancing, needs to be maintained.

Position 2: Junior Production Executive
Education: Advanced university degree in Textile, garment, or other related fields. Graduated in 2018- 2019

Position 3: Environmental Health and Safety Junior Executive
Education & Work Experience
BA degree preferably in Environmental health and safety, chemical engineering- Environment stream, with applicable work experience in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities-
Maintain and implement the EHS management System of the organization.
Implement safety standards toward the company’s health and safety objectives. Prepare safety instructions and Safety signage, make sure all are available, and prepare if necessary.
Plan and carry out regular internal audits to ensure compliance with legal, buyer, and transnational standards in the plants to ensure the effectiveness of the management system.
Report nonconformities to department heads and initiate corrective actions to improve the management system.
Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated, and recommended advancements implemented.
Conduct yearly EHS committee meetings and address the issues with each concerned department, and solve the issues.

Position 4: Senior Executive in Charge
Education & Work Experience
Degree/ Diploma in the field of Textiles Engineering, Garment Engineering, and other related fields from a recognized professional body.
Minimum of 4- 6 years of direct applicable experience in the garment sector.
Exposure to ISO 5S will be an added advantage
