Currently our company needs a  devoted and motivated candidate.  Kerchanshe specializes in coffees sourced from Yirgacheffe, Lekempti, Gimbi, Djimma, and Sidamo, names that epitomise fine Arabica coffee. Position Junior Agronomist  

Job Purpose 

To research, plan & implement farms’ planting, cultivation, and harvesting  ways to improving crop yield.

Main Duties and Responsibilities  

Develops planting, civilization, and harvesting techniques, improving crop yield, and  working problems. 

Develops planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines. 

Researches and promotes agrarian strategies to  fight the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage, 

Assesses crop product of the  ranch, 

Evaluates and improves seed quality, 

Carries out laboratory tests of soil, seed, and crop samples, 

Performs quality control for seed  quality and soil norms, 

Visits fields to collect seed, factory, and soil samples, 

Tests samples for  nutritive  scarcities, conditions, or other changes, 

Conduct soil analyses and develop nutrient management plans, 

Recommend and oversee the application of fertilizers, soil conditioners, and other amendments to ameliorate soil health, 

assistances with the plant sourcing, testing, and selection, 

Keeps detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples, 

Generates reports and presenting findings to management, clients, or other interested parties, 

Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.  

Qualification and Skills 

BSc in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant science and Related fields of studies.  

Experience

Strong research skills, 

Critical thinking and problem- solving skills. 

Communication skills.
