Job Summary
The psychologist will be based at the Tigray field office with frequent travel to the Project sites The overall responsibility is to directly or laterally carry out prevention, management and/ or research activities in the area of internal health and psychosocial support. S/ he will be under the direct supervision of Health Program manager with specialized link with the mission MHPSS/ GBV Advisor.
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Under the supervision of the Health Program manager( plus specialized link with the medical coordinator mission and MHPSS/ GBV Advisor, the psychologist has the responsibility to
• Implementation of the activities according to the logical framework counselling, identify GBV cases, creating links with organizations working on MHPSS services.
• Assess patient needs, their particular situation and, strengths in order to develop plans to improve their well- being.
• Determines the state of wellbeing of beneficiaries ’ situation by interviewing the customer; assessing cerebral, emotional, and social information; making on- site visits.
• Coaches Social workers, HEWs and community mobilizers in their community- based at project sites.
• Designs and animates psychosocial and recreational and group activities with the community Mobilizers, HEWs and Social workers. Those activities aim to create awareness about M H and cerebral needs and develop positive copying mechanisms, self- care and community care practices and promote positive self- esteem among beneficiaries.
• Offers individual counselling for cases self- referred or referred by the HEWs or community mobilizers or health care providers at different program spots.
• Conduct psychosocial conditioninge.g. individual counselling, group counselling sessions or support groups for special needse.g. PLHIV or GBV survivors, risk reduction sessions.
• Organizes, facilitates and conducts specific trainings on GBV issues MHPSS/ PFA for health care workers according to the needs.
• Obtains assistance for the beneficiaries referring them to community resources; arranging for appointments; establishing referral linkage with other agencies.
• Maintains records of cases by establishing the heirs’ situations and adhering to data protection regulations.
• Monitors planned actions through regular follow- up.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of beneficiaries particular information receiving PSS services
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing interrelated results as needed.
• Follows up with beneficiaries to ensure that their situations and wellbeing has progressed
• Participates in MHPSS work group coordination meetings at field level
• Reports on MHPSS activities in the yearly progress activities report
• Performs any other task assigned by the Health Program Manager

Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
• Msc/ BSC Degree in Clinical Psychology or relalated field having Training/ instrument in MH Gap in PHC Work Experience
• At least 3 years of working experience as Psychologist in health care setting/ Counsellor in a health facility in emergency situations
• Experience with other NGO is a plus.
• provable experience in reporting, supervising and training others in a team setting.
Skills and qualities required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to assess people’s internal capacities.
• Organize an individual or institutional remedial framework (adjusting treatment to patients and their environments)

Field Office Coordinator

In Tigray, the region has only started to recover from a ruinous fortified conflict between TPLF and the civil army that left millions of people traumatized and in hopeless need of philanthropic assistance. MdM is opening a new EU funded project in consortium with an Ethiopian partner to address war traumas and provide primary healthcare and nutrition services to the population in east Tigray. Main responsibilities
The Field Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of Mekele’s base and of MdM program in the Tigray region; S/ he ensures the security of all staff is monitored at all time, S/ he ensures smooth implementation of the program activities and s he coordinates HR, Finance and Logistics for all Tigray. S/ he also works in close collaboration with our original partner and represents MDM for authorities and stakeholders in the region. As a member of country management, the Field Coordinator works closely with the Coordination team in Addis Ababa, as well as design mates in the field locations.

Essential duties
Base Management
• Ensure acceptable information flow within the different departments as well as between the base and coordination platoon;
• Organize regular daily coordination meeting in order to organize the work and priorities.
• Oversee and coordinate the general functioning of the base and all departments services;
• Create/ maintain a positive “
team spirit” within the different departments and amongst the staff;
• Provide good working conditions for all team members.
• Support team members under direct supervision in their duties.
• Coordinate the activities of original partners on the field in coordination with Safety and Security Management
• Routinely monitor the security situation in Tigray, and update field and coordination teams with analysis where necessary
• With the support of the liaison officer, and in coordination with the Addis platoon, produce and routinely update the security package and annexes for the Tigray region
• Ensure that all staff and visitors are briefed on the security rules, have received the security package, and that all staff and visitors are following the rules
• Ensure data collection about the safety and security in Tigray region, give analyses, and partake all demanded information with the General Coordinator regularly or on an ad- hoc basis if critical
• Alert General coordinator without delay in case of brewing peril or incident of teams or beneficiaries
• Ensure timely and accurate security incident reports are written, and any resulting recommendations are carried out.
• Be an active part of the Incident Management Team when incidents occur in area of operations Program management
• Contribute to the philanthropic monitoring of the region, in close collaboration with indigenous actors and the Addis Coordination team.
• Ensure the implementation of the program in the field and its follow- up in its different aspects planning and monitoring of activities, reporting, evaluation, logistic, HR, and fiscal.
• Ensure the coordination of all project mates, including general planning enforcing monitoring of activities; information sharing; and reporting follow up (including fiscal reporting)
• Contribute and give inputs for the update of MdM strategy in the Tigray region;
• Coordinate project evaluation on the base. Logistics/ Finance/ Administration
• Ensure the project activities are carried out in accordance with donor compliance and MdM procedures.
• Ensure applicable executive, financial and logistical MdM system/ procedures are in place, maintained and adhered to so that all support functions are carried out effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure regular communications are maintained between the different departments and act as a middleman when necessary.
• Ensure that the procurement plan( prepared by the log base in collaboration with LogCo) is harmonious with the need of the project activities.
• Responsible for accurate budget control and overall responsibility for financial management at the project site in line with project proposal.
• Monitor expenditure and budget compliance on a regular basis, report any concerns to Addis Ababa coordination team
• Monitor, and also develop plans to mitigate any under or over expenditure at design position.
Human Resource Management
• Responsible for the well- being of all team members;
• When applicable, contribute to recruitment and selection of staff.
• Responsible for correctional and grievance procedures, with the support of the Admin manager and/ or HRCo.
• Maintain goodinter-department communications, promote good team dynamics, and take suitable action when problems occur.
• Carry out appraisals as per MdM standard requirements and procedures.
• insure all new team members are adequately briefed on arrival in the field, and departing team members are debriefed and provide end of mission reports where applicable.
• insure that all team members admit specialized support from specialized coordinators when needed.
• Ensure capacity building and training of all staff in Tigray.
Representation
• Represent MdM to NGOs, UN agencies, indigenous authorities, communities, donors and other applicable parties in the field and share information with the field and coordination teams;
• Build strong relationship with philanthropic actors working in the area in order to identify implicit synergies.
• In the event of visits from donors, he she participates in the organization and implementation of the visits.
Reporting
• Ensure the Tigray region inputs into the yearly Sitrep.
• Ensure the Log, Admin and HR yearly reports are completed.

Job Summary Under the supervision of the General Coordinator, She he is in charge of directly overseeing the perpetration of the projects activities and ensuring the overall quality and guidance of its programming. Also, you're responsible in supporting the General Coordinator in designing and rolling out the mission strategy in the country.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Strategic planning
• Ensure a close monitoring of the context, philanthropic and epidemiological situations
• Coordinate the organization of needs assessments as and when required.
• Participate and contribute to the development and rolling out of the mission strategy
Coordinating program
• insure quality program perpetration, in line with MdM accreditation and guiding principles
• Make sure the different factors of the programs are harmonious, directly integrated and according to the requirements of the target population
• Coordination with all partners through Consortium fellow to review the quality and progress of the perpetration • Regular budget follow- ups of all programs and ensure compliance to patron regulations
• Ensure regular communications are maintained between the different departments involved in the programs
• Coordinate with General Coordinator for needed communication with donor or authorities in case of context evolution and posterior necessary adjustment in the response.
Monitoring and reporting
• Carry out a daily review of programmatic performance based on the monitoring framework and available indicators.
• Contribute to the organization and realization of external evaluation as and when required
• Participate in the writing of quality donor activity reports and proposals
• Support in development of infographics covering different component of the MdM programs like daily newsletter, fact sheet and success stories.
• Ensure that a clear and solid M&E framework is in place at mission level, with regular reviews assessments and effective feedback mechanism in close collaboration with the program teams and coordinators.
• Visit to project spots for better understanding of the project implementation, and improvements.
Team management
• Supervises the program team Medical Coordinator, MHPSS coordinator, Consortium Coordinator, Nutrition Coordinator, GBV Advisor and MEAL fellow. And maintain functional links with 3 Field Coordinators of Afar, Oromia and Tigray regions.
• Ensure information sharing and develop a good team dynamic.
• Provide support and mentorship to improve the capacity of the team especially public staff.
Representation
• Regularly and proactively represent MdM in coordination forums related to health, nutrition,etc. as well as with other actors including UN.
• Develop and maintain collaboration with authorities, similar as indigenous finance and health bureaus, Disaster and Risk Managemental Commission( civil and indigenous),etc.
• Support the General Coordinator in organization of donor field visits or meetings as and when required.
