Position 1 NRM & Climate Services Specialist(Re-advertisement)
General Position Summary
Under the leadership of the NRM & Climate Services Coordinator, the NRM and Climate Services Specialist is required to manage the climate risk solution of the program in promoting participatory NRM, early warning, and disaster risk management. This position requires someone who understands the role of culture and original communities in managing climate-based information and has deep experience in facilitating participatory early warning committees to develop plans to strengthen the community’s resilience against drought.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Risk Management, Natural Resource Management, or other related field or original combination of education and work experience.
- Desirably master’s degree in Disaster Risk Management, Climatology, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering, or other related field A minimum of five years of experience in applicable sectors like DRR, NRM, Livelihood, EW, etc
- Experience in conducting CVCA and ion of Participatory Scenario Planning, specific experience in the Somali Region is a benefit. Analytical skills and good exploration background
- Fluency both in English and Somali is required

Knowledge and Experience

General Position Summary
- Working in the Finance Department of Gambela under the direction of the Senior Finance Officer, the Finance Officer will help in the accounting and documentation of all financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner. General Position Summary
- The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer will work with the Mercy Corps MEL team especially the MEL specialist with the separate regions and the manager who'll be based in Addis as well as our original mate organizations to oversee and ensure the collection of quality M&E data for the program. Knowledge and Experience

Position 5 Grant and Compliance Specialist(re-advertisement)
General Position Summary
- The Mercy Corps Finance Department is responsible for all fiscal functions, including accounting, payments and banking, payroll, budgeting, fiscal reporting, and grant fiscal management and compliance. The Mercy Corps Finance Department ensures compliance with donor regulations as well as Mercy Corps’s internal policies and procedures. As a support to the Program Technical Department, the Finance Department provides timely reports and assistance to the Country Director and the Program team to ensure that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively. The entitlement and Compliance Specialist is a member of the elderly finance management team and is supervised by the Finance Manager. He or she will be responsible for the day-to-day routine tasks of the entitlement and Compliance Specialist part as well as yearly, daily, and periodic reporting. She is anticipated to produce dependable, accurate, and timely fiscal reports/ information for all stakeholders involved.
