World Vision Ethiopia began its first intervention in Ethiopia in 1971 with relief and opened the Ethiopia office in 1975. Relief, rehabilitation, and small community development projects dominated the decade that followed. During the 1984/85 drought, World Vision Ethiopia participated in a massive relief operation that saved the lives of millions of people.

Starting its operation with emergency intervention in some parts of Ethiopia, World Vision currently operates in 53 Area Programs (APs) implementing effective programs, similar as Education, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), Nutrition, Emergency Response, Faith and Development, Food Security, Economic Development, Climate change, and environmental systems and other cross-cutting programs. 

Position 1: MEAL Lead, Rapid Response Mechanism 

Qualification and Skill 
 • minimal 10 years’ experience in international NGOs in humanitarian and development programming with a consortium approach on MEAL, Programme Development, and Programme Quality Manager and Advisor positions 
 • Practical experience in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of  anticipant  philanthropic  and climate action, monitoring and evaluation, DRM concepts, partnership, and localization agenda 
 • Strong specialized competence and experience in the development of mess systems and strategies, quantitative and qualitative monitoring and evaluation methods, data analysis, reporting, and understanding of contemporary trends and debates in the field including innovative M&E; 
 • Practical experience in mainstreaming gender, disability, and  terrain in development, advocacy, or humanitarian work 
 • Demonstrated experience coordinating MEAL with partners, ideally in a Consortium structure and knowledge management frameworks; 
 • Good understanding, and familiarity with humanitarian conception,  anticipant and DRM concepts, and familiar with and abiding by the International standards, the Core Humanitarian Standards( CHS), SPHERE, LEGS, NGO/ Red Cross Code of Conduct, the People in Aid Code, including safeguarding; 
 • Good understanding of WASH, ES, and NFI, Health and Nutrition, Education in emergency, Multi-Purpose cash transfer and Protection programming in IDP, returnee IDP, and host community responses programming. 
 • Acceptable experience and understanding on nexus programming( philanthropic- Development- Peace Building) 
 • Proven experience of upward and  downcast responsibility approaches and mechanisms; 
 • Excellent verbal and spoken communication skills as well as, an overall ability to be clear and  terse in all communications 
 • Strong organizational and time- management skills; proven ability to Prioritize and deliver on time 
 • Strong  logical problem- solving skills 
 • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic,cross-functional global team structure 
 • Highly  complete in Microsoft Office suite 
 • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels 
 • Ability to manage and work through change in a visionary and positive manner. 
 • List fresh work experience required as a minimal qualification for this position. 
 o MA degree in Social Science including Development Study, Monitoring and Evaluation Economics and Statistics applicable field of study from a recognized university

Position 2: TSFP Facilitator 

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification 
 • BSc degree in Public Health/ Clinical Nursing Nutrition/ Environmental Health/ Midwife and related health field of study preferred from accredited universities or health colleges 
 Certificates on 
 • Acute malnutrition 2019 revised guideline training 
 • Revised 2019 IMAM guideline training 
 Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications 
 • Knowledge, training, and experience in the management of TSFP/ BSFP and SAM management 
 • Demonstrated skills in TSFP/ BSFP and CMAM program planning, implementation, and monitoring. 
 • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
 • Good mortal relation skills. 
 • Willingness to work under pressure and  redundant hours 
 • Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with  delicate and frustrating working conditions;

Required Professional Experience 
 • Minimum three years of working experience with NGOs in the TSFP/ BSFP program 
 • Experience in BSFP/ TSFP, Food Aid programs, or community-based nutrition intervention preferably in an emergency context 
 • Knowledge of  recent developments in nutrition and food security 
 • Knowledge and practical experience of the  public/  transnational Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition( CMAM) protocols and BSFP Programming is an advantage 
 • Experience in easing training and workshops 

Language Requirements 
 • English and knowledge of the original language are advantageous

Position 3: Child Protection in Emergency Specialist 

Required Professional Experience 
 • Five years’ experience in designing, and implementing Child Protection programs in Emergency and post Emergency 
 context. 
 • expansive experience in capacity building and training of project staff, stakeholders, and community groups. 
 • Knowledge and experience in the application of international specialized guidelines and standards  similar to UN Inter-Agency 
 manual for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action( CPHA), Child Protection Minimum Standards etc 
 • Practical knowledge and skills in the implementation of Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation and GBV prevention and 
 response. 
 • Demonstrated thinking capacity, creativity, and problem-solving chops as related to the protection sector 
 Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification 
 • Master’s degree in law, social work, psychology, Sociology, etc. 
 • Professional certificates obtained in attending on-the-job training certificates related to CPiE programing. 
 • Direct case management and experience working with children and adolescents is an asset. 
 • Ability to work effectively with a culturally different team in a sensitive environment. 
 • Ability to meet tight deadlines through excellent time management, association, and multi-tasking skills. 
 Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications 
 • Knowledge and skills in community- based child protection program design and implementation. 
 • Familiarity and application of core project models related to child protection in Emergency
