World Vision Ethiopia began its first intervention in Ethiopia in 1971 with relief and opened the Ethiopia office in 1975. Relief, rehabilitation, and small community development projects dominated the decade that followed. During the 1984/85 drought, World Vision Ethiopia participated in a massive relief operation that saved the lives of millions of people. Starting its operation with emergency intervention in some parts of Ethiopia, World Vision currently operates in 53 Area Programs (APs) implementing effective programmes,  similar as Education, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Nutrition, Emergency Response, Faith and Development, Food Security, Economic Development, Climate change, and environmental projects and othercross-cutting programmes.  

Position 1: CMAM Officer  

Required Professional Experience 

  • Minimum three years working experience with NGOs in emergency nutrition program.  
  • Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification 
  • BSc degree in Public Health/ Clinical Nursing Nutrition and related health field of study preferred from accredited universities or health colleges Certificates on 
  • Acute malnutrition 2019 revised guideline training 
  • Revised 2019 IMAM guideline, and IYCF- E training 
  • Integrated Pharmaceuticals Logistics System (IPLS) 
  • Trained on Family MUAC approach and TSFP/ MAM  
  • Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications 
  • Knowledge, training and experience in management of MAM and SAM with/ without medical complication 
  • Demonstrated skills in CMAM program planning, implementation and monitoring. 
  • Experience in cascading family MUAC approach 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. 

Good human relation skills. 

  • Willingness to work under pressure and  redundant hours 
  • Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with delicate and frustrating working conditions. 
  • Strong adherence to World Vision values. 
  • Strong character traits, including emotional stability, adaptability, ability to handle stress, artistic and gender sensitivity and integrity. 
  • Prepared to live and work in a remote and uncertain security environment 
  • Fluent in oral and spoken English, original language and Amharic

Position 2: Finance Manger  

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification  Desirable 

Master’s Degree in a related field/ BA plus ACCA or CPA  

Required Professional Experience 

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related fields with Five (5) years of demonstrated experience out of which three (3) years at a Supervisory/ directorial level position  Or 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Banking and Finance or related fields with seven (7) years of demonstrated experience out of which five (5) years at Supervisory/ directorial level position  
  • Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications 
  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and spoken) with ability to express ideas and concepts  easily and persuasively with senior internal and external stakeholders 
  • Excellent working knowledge of IFRS and original regulations and requirements. Certified in adoption and implementation of IFRS is an asset 
  • Excellent logical, problem- solving skills and detail orientation, indeed under time pressure   
  • Proven interpersonal, representation, networking, negotiation and leadership skills 
  • suitable to work in across-cultural environment with amulti-national staff 
  • Ability to identify risks and issues and escalate them in a timely manner for proper resolution 
  • Working knowledge of accounting of Business making entities 
  • complete in MS office applications and advanced financial analysis tools 
  • Willing and  suitable to travel within the country for work assignments  

Language Requirements 

  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written plus original language)  
  • Travel and/ or Work Environment Requirement 
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically over to 35 of the time.
