ZISC was registered with the Ministry of Trade and Industry on January 24, 2020. It obtained a license to operate as an on-life (general) insurance provider from the National Bank of Ethiopia on January 17, 2020. At the time of registration, the company had an original subscribed capital of ETB 112.2 million and a paid-up capital of ETB 79.89 million.
