Abay BankS.C. invites competent and good candidates for the following positions.  Abay Bank has fulfilled all the requirements of the National Bank of Ethiopia to set up a bank, officially established on July 14th, 2010, and started full-fledged banking operations on November 3, 2010.  Currently, the paid-up capital of the bank is Birr4.733 Billion/ Four Billion Seven Hundred Thirty-three Million Birr as of June 30, 2023, and the number of shareholders reached 4,437/ Four Thousand Four Hundred Thirty Seven. Position 1 Senior Interest-Free Banking Operations Officer  

JOB REQUIREMENT  

BA degree in Economics/ Accounting/ Management/ Business Administration/ Finance and Accounting or business-related field of study with 4 years of experience in banking operations of which 2 years in the IFB operations area.  The Officer is responsible to coordinate and support branches and IFB activities in the District Office. He or she ensures that procedures are adhered to regularly and risks are properly managed; motivates and coaches employees responsible for the delivery of high-quality service; ensures timely clearance of suspense accounts; monitors the IFB portfolio management and the transaction level risks;

Position 2 Senior Auditor  

Qualification & Experience BA degree in Economics/ Accounting/ Management/ Business Administration/ Finance and Accounting or business-related field of study with a minimum of 4 years of experience in banking operations. The senior Auditor is responsible for planning the objectives, scope, and methodology of the audit and preparing an audit program. Determines the auditing procedures to be used, including sampling methods. Performs audit in a professional manner and accordance with the approved audit program. Performs audits, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting auditee ’ s ’ processes and procedures. Communicates the results of audit and consulting engagements via written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis to the auditee’s management. Conduct special investigation/ fraud investigation audit.  Place of Work Head Office  

Position 3 Manager – Credit Business  

Qualification & Experience MBA/ BA degree in Management/ Accounting, Finance/ Economics/ Business Administration or related field of study with a minimum of/10 years of experience in banking operations. Of which Four( 4) Years in Credit Management area. The Manager is responsible for Targeting implicit customers identifying their needs, and establishing credit relationships. Advises consults customer about the credit process, types, terms, eligibility, utilization, debt servicing and cross-sells products. Collects and checks all required loan processing documents. Gathers acceptable financial and non-financial information about the customer. Facilitates contributory estimation, credit information, legal opinion, and loan and mortgage contract preparation. Follows prepayment/ utilization of the loan and design negotiation strategies to resolve NPLs and negotiates with customer for amicable settlement.

Position 4 Branch Manager Grade I  

Qualification & Experience BA in Management/ Economics/ Accounting & Finance/ Marketing or Banking & Finance/ Business Administration or other business-related field of study with 6 years ’ work experience in banking operations, out of which 2 years in an administrative position. The Manager plans and coordinates the overall activities of the branch, and follows- up and evaluates Branch’s operations targets on established performance parameters. He or she motivates and coaches the customer service officers responsible for the delivery of high-quality service. He or she identifies and recruits implicit customers and provides professional advice.
