Position: Senior Tax Specialist
Qualification BA in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or any other related fields.
Experience Five/ 5 years of applicable experience preferably in the banking industry of which two/ 2 years as a Tax Officer.
Purpose of the Job To carry out the overall Bank’s tax operations, ensure compliance with obligatory tax laws, and provide expert guidance on tax-related matters to support organizational goals.
Specific Functions
• Prepare and review all tax and pension payments to ensure timely and accurate submission
• Follow up and reconcile Bank tax accounts periodically to maintain accuracy and compliance
• Collect and file all necessary tax-related supporting documents to ensure proper documentation and records management
• Research and interpret civil and state tax laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely tax advice to internal clients and management
• Identify, assess, and mitigate implicit tax risks to minimize liabilities and ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations
• Develop and implement duty planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities
• Handle other related duties as may be required
