Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994, after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995.
Since embarking on operations, the Bank has registered remarkable growth. Notwithstanding global and domestic challenges, Awash Bank has exhibited superior functional and fiscal performances among private banks operating in Ethiopia. Position 1: Senior – Attorney
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) plus a minimum of six (6) years applicable banking experience.
Job Summary
The Job holder is responsible for representing the Bank before judicial &quasi-judicial tribunals, rendering advice and drafting contracts and other legal documents, preparing cases( pleading, defenses, and petition), handling & processing foreclosure cases.

Position 2: Principal – System Administrator
Qualification & Experience
BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus a minimal eight( 8) years of applicable IT operations experience, with at least three( 3) years in an elderly or supereminent system administration role related to service monitoring or NOC.
Industry certifications similar to ITIL, Red Hat Certified Engineer( RHCE), Microsoft Certified Windows Garçon, VMware VCP, Oracle Certified Professional( OCP), IBM DB2, Cisco Certified Network Professional( CCNP).
Kubernetes Administrator( CKA), AWS SysOps, Splunk Certified Admin, Certified, and Certification of open-source operating system( Unix, Linux) (an added advantage).

Position 3: star – Fund Management Accountant
Qualification & Experience
BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields plus a minimum of eight( 8) years of applicable experience.
ACCA certificate( an added advantage)
Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for monitoring the Bank’s liquidity position, providing reports on the availability of funds to the management, and providing input in the determination of short-term investments for consideration by the Bank. S/ he provides guidance to the Accountant and Assistant Accountant working in the section.

Position 4: Branch Manager – Class IV Branch
Qualification & Experience
BA Degree in Business-related fields plus a minimum of eight( 8) years applicable banking experience, out of which three (3) years in an administrative position.
Master's in a business-related course( an added advantage)
Training in domestic and transnational banking operations, credit operations, and leadership( an added advantage)
Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the banking activities of a branch office. S/ he ensures that operating procedures, rules, regulations, and code of practices of the bank are adhered to by subordinates. The jobholder leads the branch sales and customer service initiatives and guides branch functional excellence. S/ he prepares and submits periodic budgets, functional plans, and activity and progress reports.
