Awash Capital S.C. invites qualified applicants for the following job positions. Awash Capital S.C. is the investment banking arm of Awash Bank, established with an original capital of 200 million Birr. Our mandate is to deliver technical, financial, and premonitory services to help foster growth in Ethiopia’s imperative capital request, supporting businesses across strategic sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing, and technology.
Position 1: Research Officer
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field
Professional certification with a minimum of CISI Introduction to Investment (Level 3) qualification
Minimum 3 years of research experience
Strong logical skills with the ability to interpret data
Proficiency in statistical tools and financial modeling.
The Research Officer will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial, profitable, and sectoral exploration to support Awash Capital’s investment and premonitory services. The part involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to produce high-quality reports, forecasts, and insights that inform strategic decisions and product development.

Position 2: Company Secretary & Legal Officer
Qualifications: LLB or advanced in Law
Minimum 5 years of experience in legal advisory or company secretarial roles
Experience in financial institutions preferred
The Company Secretary & Legal Officer will serve as a crucial governance and compliance advisor to Awash Capital, ensuring that the company operates within the framework of Ethiopian laws, capital request regulations, and commercial governance standards. The role involves providing legal counsel, managing statutory obligations, and supporting the Board of Directors in fulfilling its responsibilities.

Position 3: Business Development Officer
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
Professional instrument with a minimum of CISI preface to Investment (position 3) qualification
Excellent written and verbal communication chops in English and Amharic( fresh original language is a plus)
Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, marketing, and sales.
Experience in financial services is an advantage.
Strong knowledge and skill in Microsoft products.
Strong understanding of design software (e.g, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop) is an advantage.

Position 4: Head Of Research And Business Development
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CISI preface to Investment( Level 3) qualification) is a plus. minimal 8 years of applicable experience, including 3 years in a leadership role
Experience in financial services is an advantage.
Proven experience in financial exploration, business strategy, and stakeholder engagement
Acceptable knowledge and understanding of the Ethiopian financial request, investment products, trading, investment principles, event planning, and management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic( fresh original language is a plus)
