Position: Finance Analyst 

Essential qualifications, skills and experience 
I have a proven track record of collaborating with program and business managers, as well as finance colleagues, to ensure the delivery of an accurate and biddable fiscal position, which is bolstered by robust forecasts and clear resource accounting knowledge. 
I possess the confidence and enthusiasm to effectively explain complex fiscal information to a diverse audience, including non-finance colleagues, and I have the ability to customize analyses to meet the specific needs of end-users. 
Ability to review existing financial systems, tools, and reporting processes, identifying gaps or inefficiencies and recommending improvements that enhance the quality and usability of financial information. 
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines, respond to ad hoc requests, and maintain accuracy while working to the finance periodic timetable and commercial reporting requirements. 
I possess the willingness and confidence to question assumptions, suggest system or process modifications, and advocate for enhancements that bolster fiscal control, efficiency, and decision-making. 
A strong ability to think logically and pay close attention to details, backed by advanced Excel skills (like pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and analyzing multiple sheets) to create precise and insightful financial analysis. 
former experience in a finance role with similar responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, or resource accounting. 
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience 
The candidate should have prior experience working in the international development or humanitarian sector. 
Arabic language skills. 
previous experience working on or in Sudan. 
Hold or be studying towards a qualification with one of the five Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB), i.e., ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW, ICAI, or ICAS; or CIMA, or AAT; or be someone who has undergone a period of original structured training and accreditation in a specialist area of finance.
