The Swedish Embassy in Addis Ababa is responsible for Sweden’s relations with Ethiopia, Djibouti and the African Union. also, the Embassy manages both a Swedish bilateral development cooperation program with Ethiopia, as well as indigenous development cooperation in Africa. The ultimate program includes, among other partners, the African Union, the indigenous advantageous communities, AfDB, and civil society organizations. The main thematic areas covered are environment and climate change, democracy and human rights, migration and development, inclusive advantageous development, and peaceful and inclusive societies. The Section for Regional Development Cooperation comprises at present 19 positions, including public and Swedish programme officers, the head of section, two controllers and two programme directors. The Embassy has associates located in Stockholm (Sida HQ) and at the Swedish Embassy in Ouagadougou. The Regional Section within the Swedish Embassy in Addis Ababa is now looking for a well- good Programme Officer to work with democracy, human rights, and rule of law issues.

Required qualifications
• Documented applicable academic degree,e.g. in democracy, mortal rights, law, or analogous.
• Fluency in English(both oral and spoken). Vacancy at the Embassy of Sweden in Addis Ababa
• expansive experience of work with computer programs, applications, and systems, including excel.
Required work experience
• A minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience, rather in a indigenous Africa environment.
• Experience of project management.
• Proven capacity to work singly and deliver palpable results.
• Being a team- player, both internally and externally, with good communication skills.
• Experience from a development cooperation environment.
fresh qualifications considered as merits are
• French and/ or Swedish language skills.
