Position SENIOR PROGRAMME MANAGER – GENDER EQUALITY TEMPORARY MATERNITY COVER  

JOB OVERVIEW  

  • The Temporary Maternity Cover Senior Programme Manager will report to the Deputy Head of Development Cooperation and is predicted to contribute towards strengthening the Embassy of Ireland’s strategy and engagement on gender equality in addition to maintaining its gender equality programming.

Role

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Academic qualification( preferably at master’s level) and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible elderly management experience in areas of related fields similar as Equality Studies, Social Studies, Development Studies, Law, and Human Rights. International management experience will be recognized as profitable.  
  • Knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts, and approaches related to gender equality, social and profitable empowerment, SRHR, GBV, and girls’s position in peace and safety within the Ethiopian and broader indigenous context.  
  • Familiarity with crucial public policies, institutions, and programs related to gender equality.  
  • Strong data and expertise of recent developments and approaches worldwide in Gender Equality and related sectors together with governance, peace, humanitarian motion, and climate change.  
  • Significant data and expertise regarding the operating environment for gender equality-focused organizations in Ethiopia.  
  • The candidate must be fluent in English  
  • Examples of being solutions-oriented, and dedicated to delivering outcomes and taking responsibility for high-quality outcomes.  
  • Experience in main strategic planning and monitoring/ analysis/ studying initiatives resulting in well-defined and attainable work plans, methods, and analysis.  
  • Examples of financial analysis and funds management at an administration stage.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite together with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
