The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI), formerly known as the Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA), is a strategy and delivery-oriented government institute created to help accelerate the growth and transformation of Ethiopia’s agriculture sector, which is a crucial contributor to the country’s GDP, exports, and workforce. 

The ATI’s work is centred on improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers (SHFs) across the country for advanced income, inclusiveness, resilience, and sustainability. 

Position 1: Junior Project Officer I- Data Encoder – Farmer Profiling project 

Required Qualification, Competencies, and Experience 
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in any field from a recognized advanced education. 
Minimum of 6 years of applicable experience for a Diploma or 1 year of applicable experience for a bachelor’s degree with experience in conducting phone surveys or a related data collection role. 
Experience in conducting surveys using CAPI (Computer-Assisted particular Interviewing) or CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing) software. 
Complete in Microsoft Office Suite or original software. 
Familiarity with introductory research methods and data collection ways. 
Familiarity with pastoral agrarian contexts and challenges. 
Experience working with different populations and artistic backgrounds is required. 
Experience with data operation systems and databases and proficiency in data cleaning techniques and tools( e.g., Excel, Kobo toolbox, ODK, etc) is preferred. 
Fluency in Amharic, English, and at least one other original language( Afan Oromo, Tigrigna, Sidama, or Wolaitigna) is a must. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Position 2: Junior Project Officer II- Data Collection and Cleaning, Farmer Profiling Project 

Required Qualification, Competencies, and Experience 
Bachelor’s degree in project management, statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related fields from a recognized advanced education institution. 
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study with a minimum of 2 years of applicable experience, including conducting phone surveys or a related data collection role. 
Expansive experience in conducting surveys using CAPI(Computer-Assisted particular Interviewing) or CATI(Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing) software. 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or original software. 
Strong understanding of introductory research methods and data collection techniques. 
Familiarity with pastoral agrarian contexts and challenges. 
Ignorance in Amharic, English, and at least one other original language( Afan Oromo, Tigrigna, Sidama, Wolaitigna). 
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills. 
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. 
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Position 3: Project Officer II Farmer Profiling 

Required Qualification, Competencies, and Experience 
Master’s degree in project management, statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related fields, with applicable experience in project management, preferably in the agrarian sector. 
Minimum of 4 years of applicable experience in project management and implementation with master’s degree, specifically implementing digital tools with indigenous organizations, government, private sectors, NGOs, and other  analogous organizations. 
Proven ability to influence and work collaboratively with a different set of partners, including government associations, NGOs, donor associations, and private players. Ability to effectively manage connections with farmers and understand their requirements. 
Applicable experience within the agrarian sector, preferably in the development of use cases for innovative solutions 
Experience in communication content creation for colorful forms of engagement, including print & digital content. 
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions based on data. Experience in designing and implementing data systems is desirable. Experience in implementing digital platforms in pastoral communities and knowledge of digital  husbandry initiatives would be a plus.

Working knowledge of the agriculture value chain and associated technologies. 
Fluency in English and Amharic. Knowledge of original languages is  obligatory. 
Willingness and experience in traveling to different parts of the country. 
Excellent oral and spoken communication 
Self- driven individual with the ability to drive work with  minimum supervision; demonstrated track record of organization,multi-tasking, and time management skills. 
Capability to thrive in a fast- moving environment, with an emphasis on high performance, teamwork, responsibility, monitoring, and results measurement.
