Job Description Job Summary The Director of the Administration and Finance Division is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and implementing the fiscal, human resource, general service, and business development services of the Ethiopian Economics Association. S/ he formulates and executes fiscal management strategy to ensure sustainability through diversifying and maximizing the revenue streams and espousing cost-minimizing mechanisms. Tasks and Responsibilities The Administration and Finance Director
Leads, guides, and manages the day-to-day executive and finance activities;
Plans organizes, directs, and performs the Association’s fiscal coffers, human coffers, general services, and business development functions; Ensures that EEA’s fiscal reporting systems are timely, accurate, complete, and transparent and can satisfy the conditions of stakeholders;
. Ensures the financial management, budget forecast, and variance analysis are made regularly and up-to-date;
Manages donors ’ funds as per the terms and conditions of grants by ensuring compliance with their requirements of budget utilization, cash management, recording deals, reporting, and maintaining proper documentation; Coordinates the activities of the mortal resource management and general services;
7. Ensures the provision of general services similar to property administration, transport and security, duplication and printing, documentation/ archives, and insurance, if any; Ensures that the Association’s parcels and buildings are cleaned, maintained, and repaired at all times;
Updates, revises, and amends the operating procedures for fiscal, human, purchasing, and revenue-generating activities of the Association.
10. Establishes systems for the proper custody of cash, bills, documents, stores, etc., of the Association.
11. Establishes and implements proper internal control systems to minimize risks of fraud, errors, and compliance violations; protect assets from theft, abuse, or damage; ensures delicacy and trustability of fiscal reports; contribute to effective and effective operations by reducing inefficiencies; and promotes responsibility and transparency within the Association and provide dependable and timely information to management.
12. Plans and implements capacity-building strategies for capacitating the knowledge, capability, and skills of the support staff of the Association; Advises the Chief Executive Officer and others on matters regarding human resources, finances, general services, and business development services; Ensures that staff benefits are administered based on the human resource policies of the Association;
15. Prepares and submits yearly, daily, periodic, or periodic plans and their performance to management on a timely basis; .
Ensures that standard operating procedures of the Association don't hinder the effectiveness and efficiency of research activities;
17. Ensures and provides executive, logistic, and fiscal services to the staff and different units of the Association; .
Ensures staff performances are regularly evaluated, and complies with evaluation results for timely decision-making.
19. Performs other duties as assigned and required;

Job Requirements Education MBA/ MA/ MSc in Management/ Accounting/ Economics/ Marketing or related fields;
Experience 11 years of applicable work experience out of which at least 3 years in directorial position. particular Qualities
Language Proficiency in English and Amharic is required. Knowledge of other public and transnational languages is an advantage.
Skills Basic computer and interpersonal skills. High ethical and behavioral capability.
Knowledge of Personnel and Human Resources Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. Administration and Management Knowledge management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, mortal resources modeling, leadership technique, and collaboration of people and resources. Law and Government Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules. • Related posts Position 2Director, Partnership, and Communication Division The Job in detail The Partnerships and Communication Division is an integral function and one of the four pillars of the Ethiopian Economics Association. The Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer. The special feature of the position requires that the Director regularly liaises with the Research and Analysis, Finance & Administration, and Income Generating Unit of the Association. The Director also liaises and communicates with members of the Ethiopian Economics Association, international and public mates including, civil and indigenous state governments, universities, civil society associations, experimenters, investors, business leaders, and the general public. He or she strives to strengthen being and/ or establish new hookups and raise the visibility of EEA locally and internationally.
Tasks and Responsibilities The Partnerships and Communications Director
Liaises and communicates with members of the Ethiopian Economics Association, transnational and public partners, civil and indigenous state governments, universities, civil society organizations, NGOs, funding partners, and the general public; Prepares, revises, or adapts Partnership and Communication strategies and ensures its implementation to reach out to EEA’s members, partners, users and the general public; .
Develops strategies for soliciting grant opportunities in support of core andnon-core conditioning of the Association;
4. Initiates hookups for signing MoUs and agreements with different partners on areas of collaborative responsibility, participated objectives, and areas of influence; .
Revamps the ICT/ communication platforms including the webpage and social media outlets of the Association;
6. Ensures continuity of the Ethiopian Journal of Economics and other publications of the Association with the required quality standards;
7. Facilitates organization of exemplary forums, conferences, workshops, and colorful events at indigenous, public, and international levels;
Organizes databases of members, completed research activities, resource persons, publications, events, capacity buildings, partners, and the like;
Ensures delivery of membership services like EEA library, membership registration and renewal, members' engagement in EEA activities, and the like;
Ensures and monitors operations of the existing EEA chapters, and facilitates opening up of new EEA chapters as required; .
Prepares strategic and periodic plans and produces daily and periodic performance reports of the division;
12. Represents EEA at colorful meetings forums, networks, and coalitions as required; .
Enhances the visibility of the Association nationally and globally;
14. Recruits, develops, and evaluates staff, and provides guidance to team members under the Partnership and Communication Division; and . Performs other affiliated duties as required and requested. Job Requirements 1.
A good understanding of how EEA operates in terms of the concepts, methodologies, and current trends in the field to effectively communicate and collaborate with experimenters;
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex profitable research findings in a clear and terse manner to different audiences, including researchers, policymakers, partners, and the general public; .
Have interpersonal skills to build and maintain partnerships and work well with researchers, administration and finance, donors, government, and other external stakeholders; .
Positive attributes be approachable, compassionate, and professed at fostering positive relationships;
The ability to think strategically and align his/ her efforts with the overall goals of the EEA by relating opportunities for collaboration, developing communication strategies, and effectively prioritizing his/ her work to maximize impact; .
Be familiar with different communication channels, including social media, press releases, and website content, and know how to effectively use them to promote EEA’s research and achievements; .
Be suitable to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work under tight deadlines, and adjust his/ her strategies based on evolving needs and priorities; .

Be complete in using communication platforms, content management systems, and data visualization tools to effectively disseminate research information; .

Education and Experience
• Minimum of MA/ MSc Degree in communications, partnerships, transnational/ public relations, economics, and other affiliated fields of studies;
• Fresh provable knowledge of economics, if the Degree isn't in economics.
• At least 10 years of precipitously responsible experience in partnerships and communications.
• At least one publication in an estimable academic/ research journal in economics and/ or partnerships communications and three articles in influential magazines, and newspapers similar to Ethiopian Herald, Reporter, Fortune, The Economists, Financial Times, etc
Language Proficiency in English and Amharic is required.
Knowledge of other public and international languages is an advantage.
