Hagbes PLC Company invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions. Hagbes PLC was founded in 1957 as an importing & trading company for small agrarian machinery and building materials, becoming the pioneer to introduce stone grinding manufactories in Ethiopia. By 1974 the company was the proud owner of feed mills, pasta factories, as well as a flour milling complex, making it the largest establishment of its kind in Eastern Africa at the time.  

The year 1991 brought a more liberalized profitable foundation, and Hagbes started expansion formerly again. Today the company employs a workforce of roughly 640 people, spread across a dozen locations around Ethiopia. During this time, the company has created over 25 different business segments, all leaders in their field. Qualification BSc Degree in Food Engineering or related fields.

Age Range 22- 30 years  

Job Description 

Manage that tests are carried out on time, in compliance with company standards and conditions, and that a quality control system is in place for all raw materials and completed goods. 

  • Ensuring that all laboratory records are created and maintained for each quality control test that's required for the management and customer’s nonstop report. 
  • Ensure that a harmonious and traceable batch numbering system is followed. 
  • Ensure that batch samples are obtained and stored. As well as their results recorded in the database. 
  • In charge of all lab work and other laboratory activities under established standards of the company. 
  • Facilitate department meetings and upload minutes to the system for filling and traceability. 
  • Create or implement sampling and analysis processes to ensure that raw materials, chemical intermediates, or final products meet quality requirements. 
  • Ensure that all quality control tests are performed under the protocol on both raw materials and completed products 
  • Oversee and lead all operations carried out in the laboratory. 
  • Coordinate product performance tests on a regular base and record results on the system. 
  • Supervise the analysis of raw materials and communicate the results to the production and specialized head departments. 
  • Adhere to established protocols and keep the concrete laboratory’s tools, samples, and attestation neat and  systematized, as stated by ISO 
  • Manage the overall operations of the lab and departments, making sure that test techniques are verified and adhere to standard operating procedures. 
  • Ensure effective and effective communication of necessary information to the technical and production Department and marketing and production managers through regular report-backs. 
  • Investigating and following through on product quality-related-conformance and customer complaints.
