The African Union, established as a unique Pan African international body, is charged with leading Africa’s rapid-fire integration and sustainable development by promoting concinnity, solidarity, cohesion and cooperation among the peoples of Africa and African States as well as developing a New Partnership Worldwide. Its Headquarters is located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The AU is a international body composed of the 55 member countries that make up the countries of the African mainland. It was officially launched in 2002 as the successor to the Organization of African Unity( OAU, 1963- 1999). Position 1 – Sinior payment and Benefits Officer
Purpose of Job
To give specialized support for the effective operation of staff compensation and benefits and data confirmation of payroll processing to achieve the objects of the AU
Academic Requirements and Relevant Experience
Master’s Degree in Human coffers operation, Financial Management or Accounting with at least 7 years precipitously responsible experience in payroll administration out of which 3 years at administrative part rather in transnational association. Or Bachelor’s degree in Human coffers operation, Financial Management or counting with at least 10 years precipitously responsible experience in payroll administration out of which 3 years at administrative part in rather transnational association.
Professional instrument in finance related qualifications from a honored institution will be an added value. Sound knowledge of at least one payroll system is obligatory. At least 4 years of experience in processing payroll is obligatory; Professional instrument from honored HR institutions similar as SHRM- CP, CIPD or fellow are an added value.
Professional certificate from honored account institutions similar as ACCA or original are an added value
Sound Knowledge of atleast one parol system is Mandatory
At least 4 years experience administrative skills Interpersonal and concession skills Change operation and strategic thinking skills Planning and organizational skills exploration and logical skills ability to work in brigades and in a multilateral terrain Knowledge and working understanding of Microsoft office suite and AU software Knowledge and working understanding of AU programs, processes and norms Report jotting, communication and donation skills Proficiency in one of the AU functionary working languages (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic) and ignorance in another AU language( s) is an added advantage

Purpose of the Internship
The African Union Internship Program provides an occasion for interns to round their educational experience and to develop their professional skills and experience through The AU externship program is a full- time engagement through which good individualities from different academic backgrounds are given the occasion to gain professional exposure within the AU. As an association which promotes respect for diversity and platoon work, we encourage all good individualities to apply. Eligibility Requirements
• Actively enroll in at least the final time of a Bachelor’s degree program OR
• Must have attained a Bachelor’s degree or an advanced/ post graduate( Masters) qualification in a affiliated academic field;
• Be citizens of a Member State of the African Union.
• Be full time scholars presently enrolled in the final time of their Maids or graduate academy program.
• Be fluent in at least one of the African Union working languages( Arabic, English, French or Portuguese).
• Be no further than thirty- two (32) years of age at the time of selection.
