Team and Team International is an International non-governmental group. Team and Team International is established less than 25 years ago and at present working in Ethiopia in the WASH sector.  

Position 1 Hygiene and Sanitation Officer  

Roles and Responsibilities  

Overall 

  • Ensure the Hygiene and Sanitation Component of the adventure is applied in agreement with the authorized donor and authorities agreements. 
  • Responsible for daily, Yearly, and daily motion plans of venture actions associated with Hygiene and Sanitation, together with guidelines for assessments, monitoring, review, and analysis of venture conduct. 
  • Support in planning, facilitating, and implementing Community Led Total Sanitation venture (CLTS) in Edeneba Kebele, Mitto Woreda, Central Ethiopia Region, 
  • Organize Hygiene and sanitation coaching and workshops for families, Health staff Water person committee, and head males. 
  • Design and construct a mannequin family restroom and prepare Households to construct their own with tippy faucets. 
  • Work to realize conduct change primarily in Edeneba Kebele Mitto woreda by “ triggering ”, leading to robotic and long-term abandonment of open defecation practices. 
  • Conduct monitoring of the impact of hygiene creation conditioning, CLTS in changing community hygiene and sanitation behavior change. 
  • Prepare village-specific CLTS triggering report (pressing village baseline status, OD Maps, the detector moment, trigger type registered, a record of tools used, and attendance by gender.) 
  • Develop work plans for hygiene promotion activities in the communities using the CLTS approach. 
  • Work closely with the Operations and Program Manager to develop effective community engagement strategies and implement them with community- leaders, and health staff to promote community ownership in WASH-related service delivery. 
  • Responsible for timely( daily and Yearly) Hygiene and Sanitation activity reporting. 
  • Conduct regular monitoring and inspection of household toilet constructions. 
  • Engage community leaders( Kebele chairman, Kebele Manager, and headman) and provide specialized and H&S educational support. 
  • Work as hygiene promotion teams to facilitate applicable community involvement in collaboration with Community Engagement. 
  • Mobilize the community to participate in environmental campaign activities and encourage all groups to participate in the project. 
  • Facilitate training and promotional activities towards improving the Personal and Environmental Hygiene and Sanitation practices of communities.  
  • Reporting to – Program Manager Number of Positions – Two  

Salary- As per the organizational scale  

Duration of Contract – Two times with the possibility of extension  

Duty Station – Central Ethiopia Region Silitie Zone Mitto Woreda.  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Degree/ Diploma in WASH-related studies (public health, Clinical nursing, water and sanitation, and environmental health) or related field of study. 
  • Strong community mobilization skills and experience working in a pastoral setting. 
  • Excellent management and personnel skills to enable the motivation, encouragement, and participation of community members.   
  • Ability and flexibility to understand the artistic and political environment and to work well with the Government in Central Ethiopia.   
  • Excellent communication skills, with good spoken and written English and experience in report writing.  

Essential 

  • At least 5 years of applicable project management experience in Hygiene and Sanitation and CLTS-rated projects in NGOs or related organizations. 
  • Understanding and experience in project implementation techniques, participatory planning, implementation, and monitoring introductory practices. 
  • Proven skills in managing changes, achieving results, ensuring quality, team building, and capacity building. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including artistic sensitivity, assertiveness, and negotiating skills. 
  • Ability and willingness to reside in the Mitto area and work under pressure as part of a professional team.  

Required Competencies 

  • The high degree of confidentiality and integrity. 
  • Former experience within a humanitarian aid organization is an added advantage.  
  • Harmonious and fair in the treatment of people.
  • Good organizational skills. 
  • Competent to work under stress as the situation may dictate.  

Essential 

Computer  

  • knowledgeable in word processing, excel packages, and internet use 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and militia language is essential. 
  • Ability to communicate in English through verbal and spoken communication. 
  • Good level of physical health and fitness 
  • Former community mobilizing experience 
  • The ability to understand and communicate in the Silitigna language is mandatory 
  • Contract Duration – This vacant position is budgeted for 2 years and is subject to renewal depending on performance and backing. 

Position 2 Finance/ Administrator Officer  

Ways of working 

  • Support cooperation, good use of resources, and positive engagement with stakeholders. 
  • Contribute to the improvement and adjustment of design systems, tools, and processes within the program.  

Responsibilities 

  • Worked under the program manager in the finance and administration department. 
  • Facilitate legal, fiscal, and procurement compliance with National Government and Team and Team fastidious policies. 
  • Contribute to general ledger management, maintaining and managing the General Ledger & chart of accounts. 
  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and reconciling transactions. 
  • Perform diurnal bookkeeping. 
  • Assists with periodic audits, tax returns, and other nonsupervisory filing requirements. 
  • help in processing payments in the Finance department. 
  • Assisting all aspects of day-to-day operations of the finance department in the field & Addis Ababa office. 
  • Ensure all income taxes are remitted as per statutory timelines collect receipts, and make sure it's scanned for electronic copy and file hard copies. 
  • Ensure the accuracy of project expenses. 
  • Draft daily  design  fiscal reports  Administration 
  • Maintain the filing of project documentation and reports. 
  • Provide executive support for all Team and Team International Ethiopia programs. 
  • Support the administration aspects of projects.   
  • Coordinate with project team, finance, and procurement to compile daily and yearly project status reports. 
  • Facilitate all meetings and prepare meeting minutes. 
  • Support an effective information and record management system. 
  • Support office administration and on-office management.  
  • Procurement services support 
  • Support the preparation of the procurement plan. 
  • Liaise with implicit suppliers to source quotations per specification. 
  • Support procurement processes by public and donor policy. 
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors regarding conformity of their invoices, and bank details and provide them with updates regarding their payments.

Qualifications 

University degree in accounting and finance or an applicable field. 

At least 2 years and above working experience in executive and finance departments. 

Excellent knowledge of IFRS, IPSAS, Peachtree accounting, MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and web 

Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing professional environment to establish executive procedures and protocols that will ensure optimal functioning of the operation. 

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. 

Strong  logical and  fiscal interpretation skills 

Ability to meet strict deadlines and work with minimum supervision. 

Ability to work in and as a team.
