Aggar MFI is the first marketable private Microfinance established in  agreement with proclamation No 40/96 which is currently replaced by proclamation No. 626/2009 to serve the “ missing middle ” to provide credit and saving services in civic and  pastoral areas of the Country.  The founders envisioned addressing both social and profitability objectives. Aggar was established by 443 shareholders with paid- up capital of Birr. Currently, its shareholders grew to more than 750, its paid- up capital to  further than 200 million, and its total assets to more than 410 million.  

Position 1: Auditor

Minimum Qualification Required BA/ College Diploma in Accounting or related field  

Expected Minimum Work Experience 2/6 years of applicable experience in Financial Institution  

Expected Competency (Skills required) 

Good knowledge ofmicro-finance business 

Good knowledge of auditing methodologies 

Good knowledge of company operations 

Ability to undertake financial analysis 

Excellent verbal communication & report writing skill 

Basic computer skill

Position 2: Branch Manager I 

minimum Qualification Required BA Degree/ College Diploma in Marketing/ Management/ Economics/ Accounting or related field  

Expected minimal Work Experience 5/8 Years of applicable experience of which 2 years senior Credit & Loan Officer  

Expected Competency (Skills required) 

Excellent knowledge of company operation policies and procedures 

introductory knowledge of KYC principles 

introductory understanding of branch operations and microfinance products 

Proficiency in introductory financial management and reporting tools 

Knowledge of nonsupervisory requirements at the branch level 

Good knowledge of  fiscal and marketing management principles and practices 

Good communication skills 

Basic computer application skill  Work Place Addis Ababa & Out of Addis Ababa  

Position 3: Senior Auditor  

minimum Qualification needed BA Degree in Accounting/ Management or related field  

Anticipated minimal Work Experience 4 years of applicable experience in Financial Institution  

Expected Competency( Skills required) 

Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and accounting principles and practices 

Thorough knowledge of financial laws and audit regulations 

Ability to analyze financial statements 

Good knowledge of microfinance business 

Good communication and human relation skill 

Basic computer application skill

Position 4: Manager, Accounts & Finance  

Minimum Qualification needed MA/ BA Degree in Accounting/ Financial Accounting or related field  Anticipated minimal Work Experience 4/6 Years of applicable experience 2 of which in senior positions

Anticipated Competency( Skills required) 

Though knowledge of accounting principles and practices 

Skills in preparing and analyzing  fiscal reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash inflow statements. Ability to ensure compliance with reporting standards and regulations. 

Expertise in developing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.

Ability to create financial models and projection 

Comprehensive knowledge of Micro Finance Business 

Knowledge of tax regulations, medication of tax returns, and compliance with tax laws. Skills in managing tax planning and optimization strategies 

Ability to perform financial analysis to assess profitability, liquidity, and financial health 

Proficiency in using financial analysis tools and software. 

Excellent knowledge of the Financial regulations of the government 

Ability to prepare statement of accounts

Position 5: Director, Strategy Partnership & Business development

minimum Qualification Required MA/ BA Degree in Economics/ Business Management/ Marketing or related field  Expected Minimum Work Experience 7/9 Years of applicable experience; 3 of which at directorial Level inMicro-Finance or Financial Institution  

Expected Competency( Skills required) 

Broad knowledge of the overall business in financial industry.

Through knowledge of planning, monitoring, evaluation and related activities. 

Openness to new ideas and approaches to enhance business development and partnership strategies. 

Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth and market expansion. 

Experience in identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships that enhance the organization & request position and service delivery. 

Leadership, Relationship Building & Strategic Thinking 

Ability to plan, executes, and oversees projects related to business development and partnerships. 

Ability to clearly present ideas, strategies, and data to  colorful audiences.

Position 6: Director, Credit Management  

minimal Qualification Required MA/ BA Degree in Management/ Accounting/ Economics or related field  

Expected minimum Work Experience 7/9 Years of applicable experience; 3 of which in  directorial Level inMicro-Finance or Financial Institution, preferably in operation area  

Expected Competency( Skills required) 

Proficiency in managing and coordinatingcross-functional projects involving finance, HR, and IT 

Excellent  logical and interpersonal skill 

Understanding of commercial governance principles and practices applicable to microfinance institutions 

Familiarity with financial statements, reporting, and financial management within the environment of microfinance 

Crisis Management, Decision Making & Communication 

Expertise in assessing creditworthiness and managing credit risk in microfinance lending portfolios 

Knowledge of loan underwriting processes and criteria within a microfinance environment 

Experience in collections strategies and managing delinquency rates effectively.

Position 7: Chief Corporate Service Officer  

Minimum Qualification Required MA/ BA Degree in Accounting/ Management/ Economics or related field

Expected Minimum Work Experience 8/10 Years of applicable experience; 4 of which in directorial position at Banks,Micro-Finance or Financial Institution  

Expected Competency( Skills required) 

expansive knowledge of Financial Industry management practical and procedure operations 

Skills in recruitment, talent development, and performance management to build a high- performing team. 

Knowledge of compensation structures, benefits administration, and employment law 

Ability to develop and oversee IT strategies and policies that align with business objectives 

Experience with implementing and integrating IT systems and solutions that support financial and HR functions
