Position 1: Head of English & School Education, Ethiopia. Role-specific knowledge and experience
Essential requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in English, education, development studies, project management, or a related field.
- Experience in managing education systems
- Experience of delivering externally funded systems or programmes
- Experience of overseeing monitoring, evaluation, and literacy (MEL) within systems and incorporating assignments learned from MEL into programmes and strategy
- Experience of engaging with different stakeholders, including multinational agencies, donors, government officials, and academics
Desirable
- TEFL- A diploma-level qualification in teaching English as a foreign/ alternate language that meets UK accreditation requirements
- A project management qualification
- Experience in managing schoolteacher education projects for English language teachers
- Experience in managing school leadership support projects
- Experience in managing online teacher education projects
- Experience of writing for academic journals and presenting at international conferences
- Experience of delivering client-funded projects or programmes
- Experience in specialized jotting or budget development for customer-funded programme proposals
Role-specific skills
- suitable to lead on strategy and process development for innovative English/ education solutions
- Suitable to lead on the development and implementation of quality standards for English/ education
- suitable to lead on strategy and commissioning of global thought leadership outputs, similar to publications

- Remuneration ETB 135,068 per month
- Contract Duration: Three (3) Year Fixed Term Contract
- Contract Type: This role is being offered as a locally engaged position for Ethiopia.
