Embassy of Ireland invites qualified applicants for the following job position. Ireland has enjoyed bilateral relations with Ethiopia since 1994, when its Embassy in Addis Ababa was first opened. Ireland’s engagement in Ethiopia is guided by the Government of Ireland’s general foreign policy which seeks to promote a more secure, just, fair and sustainable world. Irish Aid, Ireland’s programme for international development, envisages a world where people are empowered to overcome poverty and hunger, and fully realize their rights and potential. Irish Aid in Ethiopia therefore aims to profit the poorest and most vulnerable sections of society. Qualification, Experience and Skills
Essential Requirements
Candidates must be suitable to demonstrate
• Candidates must have a degree, preferably in disciplines similar as
o Human Resource Management;
o Business Administration Management;
o Or a related field.
• Candidates must have at least five years ’ experience at a sinior middle- management level with full responsibilities for commercial services and/ or organizational operations;
• Candidates must show expansive experience in the planning and implementation of human resource management policies. performance operation systems, payroll and related, as well as the ability to analyze. interpret and explain the legal frame regulating employment in Ethiopia;
• The candidate must provide evidence of flexibility, effectiveness and effectiveness showing strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks;
• The candidate should provide examples of being solution- oriented and committed to delivering results, including by adapting approaches if necessary;
• The candidate must demonstrate, using work- based examples, excellent interpersonal skills, being conclusive, working in a team but also dealing effectively with people in external organizations and demonstrating high standards of integrity and trust in a leadership role;
• Proven ability to collate and distill large amounts of information, summarising findings to be used for management decisions and planning;
• The candidate must possess an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel);
• The candidate must have an excellent knowledge of budgets and procurement;
• The candidate must have effective supervision skills knowledge of a range of professed staff to ensure their effective utilization and performance;
• The seeker must be fully committed to cooperation and have the ability to work on one’s own action;
• The candidate must be fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills;

Desirable Skills and Experience
• At least five years of applicable experience working with INGO, donor agencies or related environments
• Familiarity with the crucial principles and practices of effective aid delivery.
• A good understanding of the role of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Ireland. Contract duration The successful candidates will be hired on a focused term three- year contract with a probation period of 60 working days Monday to Friday, with standard office hours from 8 am – 5 pm, with total working hours not exceeding 48 hours per week as per original labor law. Periodic Leave Entitlement Annual leave entitlement is 20 working days per annum
Gross Salary Entry point of scale for Grade ONE(€29.160.24 per annum) paid in original currency. Salaries are paid directly to a bank account; therefore, the successful candidate must have a bank account. Candidates must have a endless, legal right to reside and work in Ethiopia and will be subject to employment and taxation law.
