Position 1: Project Coordinator  

The Opportunity 

The position holder will be responsible for all functional aspects of the  philanthropic  intervention and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of Plan’s emergency response within his/ her designated geographical area mainly related to three core areas Emergency health and nutrition, Emergency agriculture and exigency WASH related projects including handling manpower and  popular aspects of the projects. 

Qualification 

  • MSc/ BSc in nutrition, Social studies, Public Health Rural Development, Agriculture, Economics, Development studies, Hydraulic Engineering, Sociology or other related fields is required 
  • At least 5 years of applicable experience out of which 3 years on a  elderly level experience or demonstrated original combination. 
  • Good directorial experience, including managing budgets

Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s law of Conduct( CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the applicable procedures.

Position 2: WASH Officer  

The Opportunity 

The main purpose of the job is to  apply  exigency activities of “ Lifesaving Response to unaddressed the Nutrition and displacement needs in Amhara Region Raya Kobo Woreda ” project. The overall objective of this integrated project is to reduce malnutrition through provision ofmulti-sectoral & intertwined services for the drought & conflict- affected communities in Raya Kobo district of Amhara Region. The project will focus on the intermediate objectives of each sectoral intervention embedding in the cause- effect  crossroad of Nutrition, Health, WASH and Agriculture. The project will seek to improve the WASH service, enhance agrarian production & improve the nutrition/ health status of the beneficiaries.  

Qualification 

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Water Supply, and Environmental Engineering, and related disciplines 
  • minimal 3 years of total experience of which experience in the WASH sector and experience in emergency WASH is advantageous.

Position 3: Education Officer – EUD Project  

The Opportunity 

  • Plan International Ethiopia is looking for an Education Officer for conflict affected areas funded by EU. This position will be a part of Education and child protection initiative to contribute for conflict affected to respond to and recovery opportunities forpre-primary and primary school aged community children impacted by the northern conflict. This position holder shall ensure that conditioning are implemented duly as planned,  collect detail  design reports and stylish practices as required and support in in putting in place strategies for effective and smooth operation of the project. The officer may be also expected to take active role in specialized co-ordination, support and advocacy with the Regional Education Clusters, other stakeholders and specialized agencies applicable to the sector.

The ECCE Education officer will be responsible for contributing to education project activity implementation, stakeholder and partner participation, and effective delivery of labors.   

  • Implementation of Early Childhood Care and Education conditioning in the targeted communities. 
  • Liaise with government offices, NGOs and other communal organizations operating in the Woreda/ Zone. 
  • High quality activity implementation and maximize safety and wellbeing of all target community members, especially children.   
  • Effective collaboration and support of procurement and logistics,

Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s law of Conduct( CoC), ensuring that  enterprises are reported and managed in accordance with the applicable procedures. 

Ensures that all staff in the unit/ function/ department are properly inducted on and understands their part in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies; 

Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully bedded in day to day work. 

Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that applicable reporting and data are submitted

Qualification 

B.E./ BA degree in Education, Community Development, Psychology, Social Sciences 

Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience implementing Early Childhood Care and Education projects 

Minimum of two successful assignments with field level posts; 

Mobilizing as well as easing training to teachers and community 

Knowledge and practical experience in early childhood care and education 

Mobilizing community and training to the ecce facilitators and school teachers 

Knowledge and experience of the education and support of thepre-school children  Duty Station Lalibela
